|| Nekros ||

The commotion of everyone moving made Kros stand still and stiff legged. Finally when things settled down he moved towards Regan. She didn't seem to have anyone near her.

Once at the mare's stall he stood back away, but still clearly focused on her. "Regan, I presume I pushed away Tokoda? Of you were enjoying his company, my apologies." He nodded in forced sympathy. It was hard for him to have any trace of feelings for anyone but Ryaki.

He watched her closely. It was easy to see she disliked how the stallions chose which made to speak to. She is judgemental. Though she has a poor personality, she would be fine for producing a foal. But not Alpha Female material. He told himself silently as he studied the mare.

|| Nero ||

He groaned audibly as Nekros called for the stallions to change mares. "I'm truly sorry, Sancha. I must be going." He nodded a farewell before stepping away, looking for a made that was alone. He walked past a few, who had stallions already striking up more conversation.

He shook his head. Talking to anyone else was pointless, he wanted Sancha and only her. But he knew better than to disobey the orders of the Alpha. He looked around again, finally decided on a dark bay made Nero knew by the name of Lis, never learning her full name.

"Hello...Lis? Sorry, I never learned your full name. Mind sharing it?" He assumed she knew him, but maybe not. He was still somewhat young and not very close to anyone in the herd.

(He is talking to Jaqualis)

|| Ryaki ||

(I don't want to post her yet because I feel like I can't do so without power playing Baez,)

|| Forada ||

The aging made stepped back as Borak moved away. She snorted, shaking her head and towing her sparse, dull forelock about. She felt like an object. A broken, ugly object no one wanted.

She closed her eyes tightly, her breath shaky and unsteady as she waited for the next stallion to talk to her. If there was a next stallion. Maybe by time someone noticed her she would be in the auction and being "sold" to some moronic, hungry stallion.

Takoda

The liver chestnut stallion smiled at the mares words, he would imagine that it is quite cramped in there. The stalls were not made for the mares comfort in mind. "I am fine." Takoda stated, taking a step closer to take in Aappear's appearance more. She was quite pretty, and was also slightly more cool tempered then some. "Though I would like to get to know you more? Any particular interests you have?" Takoda asked the mare, lifting his gaze from the mares body to her eyes.

Jacqualis

The dark bay mare watched as Sailor left, the lanky stallion leaving to find another mare to start a conversation with. Jacqualis didn't mind the stallion. Sure, she disliked the situation she was in, but Sailor was alright.

Though soon her attention was brought to another stallion heading towards her. She tensed up as he arrived by her stall door, her dark eyes glued to the other stallions body. As he greeted her, he only seemed to remember part of her name. But at least it was better then her not even knowing any of their names. "Hello, it's Jacqualis, and yours?" The dark bay mare assumed that asking his name would be no problem, so she didn't bother to hold respect in her tone. But after the words left her mouth, she half wondered if it was too rude.

Regan

Regan looked up to the stallion standing before her stall "enjoying, i would hardly say that" She said through a smirk. " I probrably would be in a better. Mood though if i wasnt crammed in this stall" She said with a little bit of sarcasm in her voice. She studied the lead stallion as she watched his facial expressions and body language. She didn't want to make a bad impression although she didn't really care all that much but she was surprised as to why he came to her.

(are there any mares open for Tigamas to talk to?)

(Lost, Juliet, and Amour are all open)

|| Apollyon ||

"Doesn't matter how old I am; I'm not the one who will be having a foal." Apollo replied with a growl to his voice and narrowed eyes. If he chose to claim her, she would have to learn not to ask him questions. He asked the questions, his mares answered. Nothing else. Turning, Apollo walked away from Sakura's stall and glanced around with a flickering gaze. Off to the side was Asteria, though she was already occupied by Tokoda. Oh well, that wouldn't stop the Beta.

Apollo walked leisurely over to Asteria's stall, giving Tokoda a glance before looking in on the mare. "Find yourself a good toy, Tokoda?"

|| Lacey ||

Perking her ears, Lacey raised her head to see an unfamiliar stallion at her stall. She did not have a good memory with names or faces, and could not place either on this stallion. "No worse than yesterday, no better than I'll be tomorrow." Lacey replied with a shrug. She wouldn't say being hungry, dirty, or tired was a particularly fun feeling, but eh. At least he asked out of common courtesy.

Baez
It was obvious that the large stallion did not want to move, to talk to another mare. Baez huffed, but knowing better than to defy the Alpha's word, turned his attention, one last time, back to the beautiful mare before him. "I'll see you later, Ryaki," it was a promise, a promise that he would do everything within his power to claim her; the smile on his face was coated over by a layer of seriousness. His eyes still soft, gentle, he took one last good look at her before turning away. Walking along the row of stalls, the muscles underneath his coat rippled. At a slow pace, the strong stud took his time, lazily eyeing the mares as he passed.

Feeling as if he should at least try and talk to another mare, Baez stopped before Juliet's stall. Raising his head and looking in to the enclosure, he focused a gentle gaze her way. The petite mare held a beautiful russet color in her coat, her features dainty and pretty. But such facts barely registered with the stallion, his mind somewhere else, focused on someone else. Shaking Ryaki from his thoughts, he turned his attention to the young mare standing within the stall. He offered her a small, friendly smile. "Hello, Juliet," words gentle and kind, he introduced himself, "My name is Baez." As he stood before her, Baez noticed the glitter of eagerness within her eyes and, in that moment, Juliet reminded him of Ryaki and her own enthusiasm.

Sancha
Sancha nodded her understanding, as Nero departed and made his way towards another mare. Eyes flickering around, she noticed Apollyon leaving the spot before her half-sister's stall, a hint of curiosity grasping at her. More so, a swell of nervous engulfed her. With Isolda's tendency to be childish or too forthcoming, she feared that the Beta would loose his patience with her, and quickly too. The mare hoped that a more laid-back stallion would claim her young sister, either out of her own kindness or self-interest.

Looking around, Sancha briefly glanced at the other stallions, her eyes pulled towards Nero. Not stopping to see who he was talking to, her gaze was attracted to the lead stallion as he interrupted another stallion's conversation with a mare. Interested to see the result, the mare watched the interaction for a moment, before turning her attention back onto her own stall. Surrounded by three walls, all covered with grime, she did not bother to worry about the future, or what it may hold. With dignity and self-confidence, she raised up her head. Brown eyes, intelligent and bright, looking forward, Sancha waited to see if another stallion would approach her.

Isolda
The young palomino mare watched as the Beta silently walked away. Once again alone, Isolda retreated from the stall door. Flicking her tail, her head drooped low, feeling a wave of hunger hit her. Suddenly, she realized how dank and unsettling her enclosure was. The eagerness still lingered within her, though, as she tried to ignore her own emotions. Every time a stallion passed by, the petite mare would raise her head, ears perking forward; slightly hoping that another stallion would take the chance to strike a conversation with her. But after a while, with her eyes fluttering close, overwhelmed with the feeling of fatigue, the mare grew impatient.

Wanting to escape her stall, Isolda pushed past her tiredness, tossing her mane and walking forward. She stopped in front of the stall door, hanging her head over the door before letting go a snort. Her blue eyes trailed the numerous stallions as they walked around or lingered before a stall, talking to some mares.

Takoda

The liver chestnut quickly looked back to see his beta come towards him, he never really even got a chance to strike up a conversation with Asteria. But he was obedient stallion, and also knew the rules. If the beta stallion is looking a mare you are at, you have no choice but to leave and move onto the next mare. "Hello, Apollyon." Takoda smiled to the stallion, though he couldn't stop his ears flicking downwards slightly for a moment as Apollyon stopped next to him. "I did in fact found a lovely mare to speak with. But if you are interested, I would gladly move along." Takoda said, making sure he had the utmost respect for the higher rank stallion.

Unlike most, when he was younger, stallions never spoke back nor started fights with high ranked stallions. But today, as he grew older and time changed, it seemed the younger stallions become cocky. Despite that, Takoda still held onto his rules and respect for those above him, even if he wasn't fond of them.

Asteria:

Something from the pit of her bosom didn't like the sound of 'toy', but she made no sign of frustration or arrogance towards the two studs. The nickname reminded her of what her father would always call her mother. In thought she shook her head at this, not letting it bother her and continuing to smile softly at them. Asteria would have liked to talk to Takoda more, for he seemed nice, but she also didn't mind talking to Apollyon either. Her eyes caught a quick glance into Takoda's then Apollyon's, trying to figure out if they were good inside. But it did not matter, it was not her choosing to pick a mate, fate would decide who she would be sold to.

|| Nekros ||

Snorting, he held in a laugh of mockery. "Well, insulting our ancestors' choices is hardly respectable. It wasn't my decision to lock you all up here. It is tradition." He turned, walking away, obviously not liking the mare.

She would make a nice looking foal, even if I wouldn't let her raise it. The alpha told himself with a nod as he looked for another mare. None seemed to catch his eye. Then again, neither did Amour or Regan.

|| Nero ||

The heavily muscled stallion was taken aback that she didn't know his name. He frowned, shrugging as he lost his confidence again. "Oh...I'm uh...Nero. Nero is my name." He dropped his head, obviously hurt by her somewhat rude tone, and how she seemed to have no filter of what or how she said things.

He looked back up, turning his head to look at Sancha. Sighing heavily he shook his head. She made him feel confident again. Breathing in deeply he turned tpo the mare before him again. "I'm sorry for being such a foal, Jaqualis. I don't handle rude horses well." He snorted, holding his head higher as he looked at her.

|| Ryaki ||

A mixture of hope, sadness, and loneliness overwhelmed the young mare. Why did Kros have to be such a stick in the mud? She shook out her mane again, a dust cloud flying off her neck.

Baez was so kind, and gentle, and understanding. He was everything Ryaki wanted in a stallion. And though she was content with Baez, she was worried. No other stallion had found interest in her, and Baez was older and soon would no longer want to take part in this process. What would happen to her when that happened, if no other stallion wanted her?

She shook her head, ridding her mind of the thoughts that worried her. Waiting for someone to come and talked to her, if anyone would. It was doubtful, but she had hope.

Regan

Regan frowned upon the coment "and traditions can be broken can't they?" she snorted as she watched the stallion waltz away. She hated how just because he was the lead he thought he was better than the rest. How pathetic she thought as she paces around in her stall. Though there was not much room she managed to.

Tigimas

Tigimas as managed to make his way over to a stall that no stallions seemed to really bother to go. He stuck his head through the stall looking at the marw. "Ah hello you are?" he said looking through the stall of the horse know as lost.

((For some reason I keep changing Jaqualis's spelling in name. I somehow keep adding a 'c' before the 'q', which is wrong. Sorry for getting anyone confused up there.))

Jaqualis

The bay mare watched as Nero seemed to loose his confidence, she kind of felt guilty for her last words. She had not meant to make him stumble over his words or become somewhat uncomfortable. Jaqualis actually was about to say sorry. But after Nero finished his sentence, and applied she was a rude horse had caused her to stamp her right hoof into the ground with a loud thud and snorting at the stallion. Any guilt or friendliness she once had disappeared like a puff of smoke.

"I'm rude?" She questioned. "You loose your confidence by rude horses... I'm stuck in a stall to be auctioned off to a stallions fancy! And I'm rude!" The bay mare scoffed, her eyes narrowing as she stepped as close to the stallion that the stall would let her. "You know what? I hope I am the ugliest and rudest mare here! Because if half the stallions were anything like you, then I most likely won't be picked!" With that she backed up and took a few breaths. Now that she was actually thinking, she was quite embarrassed by her performance just earlier. What was she thinking? Quite clearly she wasn't, and now she made a fool of herself. She just hoped no one saw that, but with how loud she was, she wouldn't be surprised if everyone heard.

//Sakura//
The dark black mare snorted at the rudeness of the stallion that just left. Shaking her head she pricked her ears looking around the barn and at other stallions around her conversing. Taking a snort she stepped back and hung her head into the warm pail of water that looked green from algae growing from it. Drinking the warm water she picked her head back up and rested it against the stall door.

//Borak//
The dark chestnut frowned "Im sorry...." he said hanging his heavy head down showing sympathy for the mare. Taking a breath he looked at the mare White Lace in front of him "Is this your first time?" he asked with a tilt and bobbed his head and watched her. Closing his brown eyes for a second then opening them his full attention on her.

|| Nekros ||

The Alpha raised his head, neighing as he called for the stallions to silence and come forth. His tail flicked harshly against his uncolored coat, the dust and flies flying off his back and flank.

"Everyone! I apologize for not giving you more time to mingle. But it seems most of you have thought about it. Besides, you should all know each other, we may live separately most of the time, but we are still Herd mates."

He paused, gazing around at all the stallions and locked up mares before him. "So, let the auction commense! Mares will be, as is every year, auctioned pof in order of their stalls. Oldest to youngest."

Ryaki is one of the youngest...Baez will have to be extremely patient if she is the only one he wants. Kros snorted, confident that the older stallion couldn't stay quiet for that long.

|| Nero ||

Hearing Nekros call for the stallions to back away, the heavy young stallion did so. Backing up he stood behind Nekros, watching the stallion.

His eyesa fostered back to Sancha. He wanted her, but...there were others. Isolda was alluring, more exciting. But Sancha was who he wanted. He would fight for her if he must.

His heavy neck lowered, breathing heavily and snortingf, sending dust flying off the floor of the barn, impatience growing inside him.

[OOC:
Order the mares are being auctioned (oldest to youngest, those of the same age go in order that they were signed up.)

Forada
Asteria
Lost At Sea
Sakura
Amour sans Espoir
Jaqualis
White Lace
Sancha
Regan
Ryaki
Juliet
Isolda

There are three more mares than stallions. These three extras will probably be taken by Nekros and/or Apollo, so one mare pure stallion. I will strike out a mare's name when she has been auctioned off. This way you can look at the list of available mares.]

((How is this working actually? Is it a mare is named first in the order you listed above and the first person to respond will get her unless someone else fights for them?))
