Leveling up as a player

I searched the boards for this answer, and couldn't find one, so I'm sorry if this has already been answered.

How can you level up as a player? I'm almost at level 9 and the only action I do that I see effect my level is training my horses, are there other ways?

When you show, train, or school your horses you also gain experience to level up :)

Cat is indeed right! there's a few ways to gain EXP. Read on for n in depth version of what Cat just said...

The most consistent way is through a Riding School. Riding Schools cost no money to use and give you a set amount of Experience and Money and a set chance at stats and items per "hour". Each hour takes 6 minutes to complete and corresponds to one "show" for your horse. You horse can do 10 shows/hours per day. This option is the most consistent, but does not have the highest rate of return.

Showing your horse can get you Experience based on how your horse places in a class. I believe you get a base number no matter where you place, but there's nowhere that's recorded, But you get more if your horse places in higher placings. for first place I've gotten anywhere from 45-124 per show depending on how many horses are in the show (more for more horses).

Training you can do for any horse regardless of showing, if using arenas outside your own you will have to pay a fee, which goes up by 20$ each time your horse grades up. Training gives out a random amount of Exp for training your horse in the correct grade arena(Novice in Novice), and a second amount for the correct discipline. Leveling your horse up in training also increases it's luck factor for shows, thus helping you do better in classes and win more EXP!
