Foundation vs. deceased

#47090 Posted on 2016-06-14 13:55:28

I'm curious what the opinions are of a truly foundation horse vs. a horse with deceased lineage.

If I've understood correctly, horses with the deceased lineage simply had others in their line that weren't (or simply haven't yet?) been imported from the old version. Is it still too late for those horses to appear, or as older players come back to the game and import their accounts will they continue to carry over and effect lines going forward?

I ask because I'm picky about lines and prefer foundations to just about anything, but I've picked up a number of good finds that are "foundation" only in the sense that their sire and dam are both decreased.

I didn't play on the previous version, though I had an account.

Thanks,
Sonoma

If the "deceased" horses haven't been imported within a year of EV2 being opened, then Abbey is going to import them herself to straighten out the pedigrees. :)

There are some deceased from before names were saved if the horses died that's what happened, but you won't know which is which until either the player cones back or Abbey imports all the ones that are just from accounts not transferred :)

a few of my TBs have 'deceased' in their lines, however, i know they used to have pedigrees there, so im hoping potential buyers will be okay with waiting for the importations x-x
