Combining two overo's

#39118 Posted on 2016-05-18 09:37:00

Hello,
would combining two overo's give a change on a death foal in game?

Good question! I'm pretty much sure the answer is no. If there was a change of a death, it should be up here somewhere because I bet there are many players who don't know about combining overos in real life. Still, I'm not 100% certain, sorry if my post wasn't really helpful... :)

In the old version it was only possible to get Oo and oo when breeding two frames together, because horses couldn't die from anything but old age and I suppose Abbey didn't want to scar younger players XD.

I'm not entirely sure if that's still the case, considering that horses can now also die from neglect, so why not from irresponsible breeding? I would actually welcome the reality of that breeding scenario. I've actually spoken to a few breeders in real life who either believe that LWO is a conspiracy or just don't care and breed frames to each other purposely for a higher chance of color...

I'm pretty sure you can still only get Oo right now.

There's no OO included in the genetics search, and I haven't seen any overo parents create an OO foal.

^-- being as I'm pretty sure people would have complained if suddenly their foals died I'm going to have to assume lethal overo isn't implemented.

I would kinda like it though.

For me it would mean losing another EVC for another marking randomiser.

You wouldn't be able to randomize a marking on a foal that is essentially stillborn.

Well, I prettied up my best mare her mate, she already was a tovero, and he become a framed splash classic champagne dun, so if they give stillborn foals I would have to randomize him again.
