#36780 Posted on 2016-05-07 07:48:08 The Genotype Lottery This is a fairly simple contest in which I post two recently bred horses, then you buy a lottery ticket for the genotype you feel the foal will have. Each genotype will also include the genetic probabilty of such a foal being born. Rarer genotypes will be worth more prize money whereas more common genotypes will be worth less prize money. The prize money will be split (as equally as possible) amoung all the people who bet on the winning genotype and will be at least double the cost of a ticket. Rules 1. You can only buy four lottery tickets per breeding pair. 2. You must send the payment for the lottery ticket to the QH Club via a donation. 3. Feel free to PM me your QH horses which have been recently bred so they can be part of the contest, however you MUST be willing to reveal the genetics of the parents and the foal. 4. Each lottery period will only last 6 day. On the sixth days the prizes will be handed out. :) 5. Please post the number in front of the possible foal genetics to buy a ticket for that geneotype. 6. Until I know this contest will work I'll use my own foals, once the contest has become established I'll add in other members breeding pairs. Ee AAt crcr Dd 6.25 04. Ee AAt crcr dd 6.25 05. Ee Aa Ccr Dd 6.25 06. Ee Aa Ccr dd 6.25 07. Ee Aa crcr Dd 6.25 08. Ee Aa crcr dd 6.25 09. ee AAt Ccr Dd 6.25 10. ee AAt Ccr dd 6.25 11. ee AAt crcr Dd 6.25 12. ee AAt crcr dd 6.25 13. ee Aa Ccr Dd 6.25 14. ee Aa Ccr dd 6.25 15. ee Aa crcr Dd 6.25 16. ee Aa crcr dd 6.25 I've simplified the genetics for the purposes of this contest. Any gene not listed will not be considered for the contest. :) The cost of a ticket for Pair 1 will be 50 dollars and the prize will be 5k. Which means there is not a winner, also I had a set number of entries this contest needed to meet before I would be willing to do it again because the number wasn't met this contest won't be held again.
