Age Problems

#33114 Posted on 2016-04-22 13:43:05

I'm nineteen, but I let my twelve year old cousin go on my account once when I was visiting her. She ended up posting that she was twelve in one of the forums, and now I can't see the over thirteen stuff. She doesn't know my password or anything. This happened a while ago, but I'm only thinking about this now because I don't have much to do on EV anymore. I'm not really sure what I should do, any suggestions? I just realized that I probably posted this in the wrong forum, sorry.

well...

The rules clearly state no sharing of accounts. Members may not share accounts. The site is not responsible for any game items, site currency, horses, or other game assets lost as a result of account sharing. This includes sharing account details with any other member, a sibling, child, parent, friend, etc. - Terms and Conditions

Because of this your age has been changed. I guess in this situation, the forums would be considered an asset. =\

Maybe send in a ticket with a photo of you and your driver's licence or passport or similar. If you can prove your age you may be able to get the age on your account corrected.

I have to agree with Kimtia though

the forums are a privilege not a right of way within the game :/

Especially considering they are now age based... The moderation team and Abbey are busy with everything else trying to keep the game safe and running smoothly, they all take our words for what our age is when we sign up. We could all say we were born in the 50's and they would have to go by it without much question...

Unfortunately right now I guess the only thing to do is either like Ulysses said - send in a ticket or message Kimtia directly with a proof of ID that shows birth date, but moderators I do not think can change birthdays. I think only Abbey can do that, and even still its up in the air if it would be changed.

I am sorry this happened to you but sit tight, it will either be figured out or you are unfortunately stuck. I do hope you understand that a rule was broken and the consequences (as pointed out) you are now realizing. Please however do stick around and play regardless, we do enjoy our members!

I do understand that I did break a rule, but I don't really need the over thirteen forums anymore as I'm starting to get busier with school and real life horses. I'm still going to play, but I won't really be needing the forums. Thanks guys!
