I purchased the auto-care tool yesterday, and I progressed my account today but it's not working? None of my horses are cared for.

You have to go into your horses and click the Auto Care button for each division you have.  Purchasing Auto Care does not automatically care for your horses when you progress your accound, it's more of a tool to care for several horses at once rather than one at a time.
