Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

Anika woke up, and stretched her renewed muscles. She stood and nudged Cali's side softly.
" Come on, time for a hunt! " she said, rolling the smaller lioness onto her
side.

Lalita walked in and Nuzzled Simba" how ate you doing?" She asked laying next to him and snuggling close putting her head next to his.

Cali didn't wake up when she was rolled around, but when Anika wasn't looking, leapt onto her, and raced away giggling.

Anika chuckled, racing after Cali. She finally paused, and lookeaeound, her ears swiveling.
She motioned to an antelope calf wandering aimlessly across the Savannah.
The scent of blood pricked her nose, and she spotted what looked like the calf's mother lying half eaten on the grass. She glanced at Cali, hoping that she has spotted the calf also.

"Something is wrong. The way that antelope is eaten......." Cali trotted up, sniffed the kill, and then noticed HUGE footprints leading away towards the water. The weird thing is, it had left half the antelope, but she was pretty good sized. Cali narrowed her eyes, thinking, and then looked at the frightened calf.

Lalita smiled and snuggled closer, dozing off. She was tired from that spell. They always tired her out some more than others, lime bringing Basra back .

Forgetting the calf, Anika padded up to the antelope mother. She sniffed it, and noticed the large
paw prints around it. She looked at Cali warily. " Who do you think is responsible for this?" She asked, sniffing the paw prints.

"Crocodile. A big one too, but I've never seen prints THIS big before." Cali looked around, then noticed a large log floating in the river, looked at the bleating calf, and when she looked back at the log; it had disappeared. "Huh? What on earth? Did you see that log in the river?" She asked Anika.

Lalita was asleep dreaming of cream and golden cubs running at her ankles. Either way they would have their own litter some day, when they decided they where ready. She got even closer to Simba and purred without knowing it.

Anika tensed, " No, why?" She questioned, forcing herself to take a step towardsth river.
She turned and looked at Cali suspiciously. " This isnt one of your attempts to scare me is it?" She asked, searching Cali's face.

"No, I swear I saw a huge log in the river, then I looked at the calf. When I turned back to the river, the log was gone. I am beginning to think it looked like a huge crocodile head." Cali was a little nervous.

Meanwhile, the huge "log" waited underwater, hearing the lionesses talking, and waited for one to come close to the river. Besides the fact he wanted the rest of the antelope and the calf to eat.

Anika sensed Cali's nervousnes,and believed her immediately.
" We should get out of here and warn the others to not go near here." She said nervously, backing up

Suddenly, the "log" leapt out of the river, got in front of the lionesses, and hissed. "You are not going anywhere but into my stomach............" Opening his huge mouth wide, showing his teeth, tongue, and *gulp* throat. Cali screamed, but shoved Anika back, and snarled with her ears back. "Get away from us!!!! I've heard of you........... Leave us alone Gustave!!!" The big crocodile laughed and grinned. "I'll eat you first Princess. Always wondered what a princess tasted like." He grabbed her, Cali disappeared down his throat, he closed his mouth, went back into the river, and disappeared below the surface.

" Cali, No!" Anika screamed a leaped into the water. She dove underneath with her powerful
forepaws and sank her sharpened claws into the huge crocodiles back. " I lost my mate, and I won't lose Cali" she screamed, by her voice was lost in the water as she held on.

Gustave easily shook off Anika by doing the death roll, hit her back onto the shore with his tail like she had been a baseball, and his tail had been a bat. He disappeared again, swam away, and swallowed a screaming Cali, who roared, and dug her claws in deep in the big crocodile's esophagus; to keep herself from being shoved into his stomach by his throat muscles where she would surely perish from the acids. Gustave swam far away, back up the river, to go back to haunt the waters of Lake Tanganyika. He kept trying to swallow the lioness, who fought him every step of the way, and growled when she refused to go down. Gustave arrived back in the lake, swam for almost 10 minutes before allowing saliva to flow freely down his throat, landing on Cali's head, but even though it was disgusting, she still didn't let go. He then opened his mouth and swallowed a bunch of the lake water; including all the fish that foolishly swam near his mouth. Even though over 50 gallons dumped onto Cali, almost making her loose her grip, she still managed to hold on; though she was now near the entrance to his stomach. She just held on tighter than ever, even though Gustave's muscles were keeping her from climbing up, and she cried out for someone to save her. "Shut up. You have lived your part in the Circle of Life. Give up food." He growled to her, but she retorted, "I ain't going to be in YOUR part of the Circle of Life!!!! Let me out!!!" She began to force her way out of his throat, even though he fought her, besides his throat muscles pushing, he also began to do the death roll around in the water, anything to get her to loose her grip. She managed to make it to the top of the throat, grabbed a large tooth at the back, started pulling herself up into the mouth, though he thrust his tongue up, trying to shove her down, but she slapped it very hard with outstretched claws, to which he jumped out of the water, yelling in pain with his mouth wide open, and she managed to use his forward motion of his yell to leap out. Landing in the water, she swam for her life. He was still howling when she made it to dry land, which was a small island in the middle of Lake Tanganyika, and she was horrified to discover this disheartening news. "How am I going to make it to the main shore with that crocodile patrolling?!" She whispered in fear, seeing him still floundering, and knowing that she didn't have enough strength at the moment to swim to the shore while he was distracted by the pain she had afflicted on him; as the shore was over 1/2 mile away. He'd catch her for sure if she tried and then she'd be DEAD.
