General overview of show results

I haven´t found a suggestion like that so I think it´s not duplicated. If so, I apologize (and please leave the link :) )

I think it would be useful to have a place where we could check the shows entered and how the horses placed, and how many horses where entered there. Something like a chart:

Shows entered How many placings shows entered with less than 5 horses
Name horse 1 10 1st: 2 2nd:1 3rd:3 4
Name horse 2 7 1st:0 2nd:3 3rd:1 0
... ... ... ...

We could have 3 charts: one for "yesterday", one for "last 7 days" and one for "last 30 days".

I know we can see each horse records on their own page, but when you have many horses checking all of them one by one could be a bit tedious. With a chart like that it would be much easier to check which horses are doing well in shows, or wich ones need a different strategy or even be sent to the riding school.

What do you think? Would you add or change something?

I see some people don´t support this, could I please know what´s wrong with this? Of course everyone can like or dislike :) I´m not annoyed. Just curious, maybe there´s something I´m missing?

I think there are currently a lot of items under the horse's page. It might be easier if there was a page added to shows where you could search show results for the last 7 days. Possibly by horse name, show date, show name, etc.

I guess I would prefer if I was notified of all 10 shows saying "Your horse ______ placed 4th out of 6th" or Your horse _______ placed last out of 6." I think it would be simpler and we would be notified if our horse did poopy or well at shows.

I didn't say this wouldn't go on the horse's page, this could be a new section on Shows, because this would be showing all the horses, not just one.

Having 65 horses and getting a notification for every show would make 650 notifications, which I think it's a bit difficult to manage :) but anyway would be more useful than what we actually have

Maybe my English is so bad I can't make my idea easy to understand.

I can only think of how much of a server hog it would be to be able to search/pull show tables. I can't even search my user log quickly because there's just so many entries for it to sort though it actually takes about 5 minutes to load lol. Now take that for showing at full capacity (600 horses for me) x 10 shows a day (6,000) for the past 30 days- 180,000 results just for one page to fetch, compared to a maximum of 900 on an individual page which is split up 50 per page anyway. I know this side of it is an Abbey thing to consider and we're supposed to ignore it but it's something I wanted to point out anyway. Obviously not everyone has that many horses and I haven't shown that many in a year but some people still do.

That aside, I can kinda of see how it would be useful in general to use at a glance, but I also think that if you are actively showing your herd then you already know which ones will and won't do well from experience. Quite often you can look at a horse and tell straight away if it's a viable show horse and depending on competition it'll do average or above average in shows. There's already plenty strategies employed by players to show their best horses. I kind of feel having an overview page takes away a little bit of the management side of it if you can see everything straight away. I also think it would take away reason to look at horse pages, rather than looking at individual show results you can just bypass it to go to a non-horse page.

There's always going to be good and bad days for horse showing, maybe I just can't see the benefits as much because I know exactly which horses should do well and won't do well at a glance, and if they're doing above average based on their stat projections. Also just not very picky over showing top of grade, after training level 5 or care to handshow them etc, just throw them straight into shows and create extra if they're all going to be bunched up.

I could see a next/previous horse button on the results page being handy for quicker checking though.

I get both sides of the story. But I do like to see how my horses are doing, and are especially interested to see the stat gain and stuff like that. But I've been actively playing again for 2,5 weeks now and my activity page is already a mess (it loads just fine by the way, but I only show about 100 ponies).

Maybe it's and idea to be able to select a certain horse in the activity page. Since all the results are already there, but that way you can organize it a bit.

And sure, the more experienced showers know which horses do well and which don't. But isn't it kind of a problem that not too many people show anymore?
