Breeding for Low NS Stats

I just wanted to know how y'all go about it, While I've always focused on getting the specials as high as possible, this was more casual, and I never paid attention to breeding the NS stats out of them basically or as low as you can go. Would it just be a case of breeding one horse to another of slightly lower NS stats? Or is it more complicated than that?

I’m not really sure whaT the best way to breed for low non specialty stats would be.
I just try to pair a horse with high non specialty stats to one that is lower. For example, if a mare has 122 non specialty stats, i would try to breed her to a stallion with less than 100 non specialty stats. If i can’t find one, i’ll buy a foundation stallion and work with him.
