2018 EV Olympics | FINAL RESULTS

Question! If a "filler" horse wins - do you just keep the money for yourself? Is it used for future Olympics? 

I have one more horse to enter :)

North - Good question! I’m still figuring out how to handle that. I will not be keeping any of the money for myself, however. 

Right now, I am considering two options.
The first is that if a filler gets first and a players horse gets second, the second place horse will win the prize allotment for first but will still receive a second place medal, the third will get bronze but receive the second place cash prize, and so on down the line.
My other option would be to just redistribute the prizes into chunks of however many player horses are entered in a discipline.

My hope is that the fillers end up at the bottom of the pool, but you never know.

Thanks for clearing that up, Jasmine! Either solution sounds reasonable to me!

I personally think option 2 is the most fair, as ones like Endurance and Driving only have about 4 contestants, which means that it's easier for the contestants to win prize money (saying basically everyone gets big prize money just for entering.., where people in others don't.)
I'm fine with that, it just makes me want to change my horses disciplines to one of those, because that means my chances of winning the prizes are better in those two disciplines.
I think to keep the competition fair for all disciplines, the second option is the best.
That's my opinion, but I'm 100% okay if you still go with the first option :)

Just a quick question
In each discipline page, there is a standings section. How often will that be updated? Or is that just for the end?

Planning to update it at least 1x/week. More frequently if I have the time or if someone volunteers to help.

Fillers have been added to the entry lists! My next project is reworking the prizes for each discipline with fillers.

The first standings will be uploaded within the next week.

Hey Jasmine! I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about this...
But I'd just like to notify you that shows aren't working properly right now (at least for a few of us. Right now I know that North and I are both being affected by it...), and when we enter our horses into shows, nothing shows up. The shows run, but no results/points are given to the horses. This has happened to my horses for the past 3 days...
I've posted about it on the Bug Reports forums, but Abbey hasn't been on.
I'm not sure if it has affected other competitors as well, or if it's just us two...

I am having the same issues both with my personal horses and all of the filler horses.

It seems to be pretty universal, so hopefully it won’t set anyone too far ahead or behind.
Hopefully Abbey will be able to restore the points lost, but if not, I don’t foresee it being too much of a problem, as from what I’ve seen, nobody has been able to gain points (I could very well be wrong on this — I only looked at a few of the horses in each discipline).

I did a little more digging and found a couple horses who had gained points. They are few and far between, though, and don’t have many.

Ya one of mine was getting a few points but the other wasn’t even showing it was in classes. I haven’t done anything with them today yet, was waiting to see what Abbey has to say. If it comes to it I’ll jist pop them in riding school till it’s fixed. 

The prize distributions have been modified to reflect entry numbers (and took me and my non-mathematical brain an ungodly amount of time) and can be viewed both on the website and here, just below the original post.

Hopefully everyone is happy with what I came up with.
