CGBA Official Thread - Updated 20/4/13

Welcome to the CBGA official thread! The Coloured Gypsy Breeders' Association is a club for any and all players who love fancy Vanners! Opened November 2017 after the Club Reshuffle, it started off an average group, but member numbers and registrations are growing day by day. Currently our target is 100 members joined and 2000 horses registered.  

We offer help to new players and aim to showcase some magnificent studs, broodmares and for sale Vanners on Equiverse. We do this in a fun and creative way with the help of contests, games, regular newsletters and much more! The amount of players breeding for colour in their breed is a large one in proportion to other breeds, helped by the terrific range in genes. We want to develop that and help players understand genetics, and how to apply that to breeding Vanners.

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great day/night! 

I'd love some feedback from everyone on the CGBA. I'd appreciate it if you commented below some features you would like added to the club, the things you already like about the club, changes you want to see to the registry system, contests, etc. This will help me develop the club for you and make it better.

I like that the admin is active so we get contests etc. I really dont have any ideas for the future but if I think of any I'll add them to this comment. Great Job! 

Hi everyone.
I just joined this club. I currently breed gypsy vanners for driving, but some foundations are needed to complete the herd.
i have a couple questions though.

1: what are the club’s expectations for gypsy vanners?
2: are there any patterns or markings that would make a horse inappropriate for registration?

@Wild Horse Cavern: These are the requirements for registration:

Your horse must: 
» Be a Vanner. 
» Have a rare base colour, which is anything but: 
Chestnut 
Black 
Bay 
White [W+] 

*We do accept Vanners with a common base colour and a pattern, or rare gene like: 
Silver 
Pangare 
A+a, A+A+, A+At, AA+, AAt, Ata, AtAt 
Cream 
*Grey Vanners are accepted if they have a rare base colour underneath, or a marking or rare gene. White Vanners are accepted if their white gene is WRn, WSb, or WT. 

Essentially, if your vanner has any kind of rare gene, it will be accepted :) if you have any other queries please let me know :)
