Whittaker Farm - Role Play

Smiling at Eden she said: "Sorry Eden, I have no idea when Carmen will be here! She shouldn't be too late I hope..." Cam thought for a while.

Kelsie

Kelsie walked Spirit over to her paddock. While she walked, she smiled to herself. She couldn't wait to start working! When she reached the paddock, she opened the gate and walked Spirit in. She turned her around to face the gate and then slipped the head collar over her head. Spirit stood at her shoulder for a moment, and then turned and walked away calmly. Kelsie slung the head collar over her shoulder and casually walked back to shut the gate. 

Kelsie slowly walked over to the runs to check on Orion and Dipper. She entered the run. Her cat and snake were waiting for her in the doorway. Dipper slithered up her leg and she picked him up. He wound his orange and white shiny body around her arm. Orion brushed against her legs, her bushy dark grey tail high in the air, demanding attention.

Eden

'Ok, no worries! I'll go pop Blue in the paddock then.' Eden lead Blue over to the paddock, Dragon brushing against her legs. She passed Kelsie and, opening the gate, took him inside and took the tack off of him. Then she closed the gate and left him to it, suddenly feeling excited. She walked back to Cam, waiting for more instructions.

"OK, one last thing guys: Your timetables will be on your beds, so please have a look through those. Thanks guys, and enjoy Whittaker Farm!" Cam finished off as the others walked away.

Kelsie

Kelsie heard Cam giving instructions and quickly hurried over to where everyone else was standing, not before brushing Dipper off her arm and giving Orion quick stroke before closing the door behind her.

Kelsie rushed back to her room, eager to see her timetable. She found her room and sat on a bed. On the pillow, there was a  timetable. She unpacked some of her stuff before flicking through it.

Cam went back to her own house, eager to start riding and feeding. Looking at her own timetable, she saw that she had to start liberty work with Lunar, a 3 year old pinto filly.

(OK guys, the day is Sunday in the RP, and I will post the timetables and the farm map on the sign ups soon, so today is just a relaxing day etc :3)

Alex turned Macha and Will out, then quickly gave Major and Jack a check over, running his hands up and down their legs and asking them to pick up their hooves. He turned them out into the other side of the partitioned paddock, watching them for a moment before calling Monet over to him, picking up the cat carrier and opening it into the run, making sure that the little dark grey kitten is alright in the run before putting Monet inside as well, knowing that he would take good care of the kitten. Alex sought out his room, checking out his timetable.

Eden

Eden called Dragon over to her and began to walk towards the farmhouse, where Cam had said their bedrooms were. The other workers were leaving for it as well. She would explore the grounds and the buildings after putting her stuff in her room.

Kelsie

After unpacking her stuff in her room and changing into some old, slightly-too-small jodhpurs, Kelsie went back out to the fields. Spirit was by the gate, chomping on a mouthful of grass noisily. She was already covered in mud. Kelsie opened up the gate and Spirit looked up from her patch of grass and walked over to her. She was a very friendly horse. Kelsie was excited to see what she was like to ride. She slipped on Spirit’s head collar and lead her out to the yard.

Spirit’s hooves made loud clippety-cloppety noises on the concrete floor of the yard. Kelsie tied Spirit up and went to look for a tack room. There were a few Stables with some beautiful horses in them. She passed a closed door and decided to see what was inside. Sure enough, there was the tack room. She scanned the rows of tack and found Spirit’s saddle and bridle. She slung her bridle over her shoulder and balanced the heavy saddle on one arm. 

Kelsie had forgotten that Spirit was caked in mud. She put the tack down and gave Spirit a good brush. After a while, she had removed most of the mud. She scrubbed off the last blobs and tacked up. Kelsie mounted Spirit, clicked her tongue and walked on.

Alex
After seeing that his schedule was clear for the rest of the day, Alex took all of his tack, (which he had just dumped in his room, unthinking.) down to the tack room, settling both Jack's and Major's full sets of english tack down with all the others. Alex took Major's tack out into the yard, balancing it on the fence before going and catching the big black stallion, giving him a quick brush over before saddling him up and putting on his bridle. Alex leads him over to one of the arenas, mounting from the ground and warming him up with a couple laps of walk, and then of trot.

Eden

Dragon ran on ahead, to the big farmhouse where their rooms were. Eden caught him up, enjoying the run after being stuck in her mother's car. Panting slightly, they headed for the rooms and walked into room two, where Carmen would be sharing with her. 

She began to put everything away in her draws, and opened the curtains, where, if she squinted, she could see Kelsie and Alex riding. If she turned a little she could spot Blue snaffling the ground at something. She withdrew her head and spotted her timetable, which said today was a free day. Without bothering to look at tomorrow, she thought she would get to know Blue and brush him down. Then, maybe, she would take him for a ride. 'Come on Dragon!' she called as she walked out and closed the door quietly behind her.

Kelsie

After returning from her ride, Kelsie brushed Spirit down and turned her out in her field. Then, she replaced Spirit’s tack in the tack room, and went for a walk around the farm.

Stopping quickly at her room to put her riding hat away, she glanced at her timetable. I may as well take it with me, she thought, to make sure I know where I’m going tomorrow. Kelsie looked at Monday’s events. First, she had the cows. Then she had to swim the horses. Kelsie didn’t quite know what this meant. She trudged down to the cow’s fields and sheds.

Alice


She had gone up to her room and got everything situated. Then she had spent time with Lena and thought about her timetable. I can't believe I am actually here, she thought. She came out of the room and walked over to the pig pen to see where she would be working tomorrow. "Hello pigs," she smiled and looked up to see Kelsie had the same idea. She made her way over to Kelsie and said "What do you have tomorrow?"

Kelsie

Kelsie walked over to Alice. “Hi! First I have to feed the cows, and then swim the horses. How about you?”

Alice

"I have pigs and swimming the horses." She smiled, "Do you like it here so far?"
