Saying Goodbye

so my Grandpa finally lost the battle to cancer on July 4th (yesterday). He fought a good fight but in the end the Lord took him home. Who else has lost love ones?

My Dad passed away at 54 years old, last year from the cancer he had for 7 years. Let me know if you need someone to talk to.

Lost my grandfather on my moms side when I was 2; don't have a great recollection of him but I know from stories that he was an awesome man.

Lost my grandmother on my moms side on July 2, 2008 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma, she was one of the best people to ever grace this earth and I miss her dearly every day. Coincidentally, that was her wedding anniversary, I think it was a sign that she was ready to come home to God and see her husband again ♥

My father walked out on my family years ago and unfortunately, so did his side of the family. I know my grandma from his side passed away a few weeks after I was born (18 years ago) so I really don't know much about her.

My grandfather on his side passed away on May 6, 2014, he was 93 years old. He was a pretty nice man, wish I could've spent more time with him but it's just the way life happens I guess.

Furthermore; my cousin (my dads brothers child) passed away on June 11, 2009. He fought for years against a mystery disease that no one could figure out. I rarely saw him but he was very pure and I remember during his funeral his mom told a story about how he saw an angel right before he died- that story has stuck with me since his passing and gives me a lot of comfort. I know his mystery disease was painful and to know that in his final moments he was within the company of God makes me very happy!

Sorry for the rambling, but if you need to talk my inbox is open- I know how much losing a loved one hurts but I truly believe that time will help you to heal. I also find comfort in my religion but I know and respect that not everyone has the same beliefs as me. Stay strong ♥

thanks guys, it's hard all right, his funeral's this Saturday, so it's very busy at the moment. something I find interesting is my Grandpa was actually my step-Grandpa, and so his first wife and my Aunts and Uncles Mother died of a cancer a long time ago, and now he's gone from it as well.
