ISO: Breeding Partner

#83068 Posted on 2016-12-26 14:41:34

I'm looking for a breeding partner for QHs (I can possibly compromise on another non-draft breed).

What I'm looking for:
-An active and dedicated member who will be willing to stay on at least three generations.
-Someone who will be on every day to care and show, and will let me know if they are forced to miss a day. Should that occur, we would lock our project horses for that length of time, so we stay at the same pace.
-Will start with 20 total foundations (5 mares, 5 stallions for you, 5 mares, 5 stallions for me)
-Each mare will be paired with a stallion and bred twice before retirement, on the same days.
-Will not breed with other horses, or sell.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I'm looking to buy Equine Center horses on January 1st, 9th, or 16th, whichever day is best for you. Please do fill out this quick form, and know that I might not get many responses, so I may not choose at all.

Past partnerships:
Will you be active?:
Will you be willing to breed QHs?:
List other breeds if not:
Preferred specialties?:

Past partnerships: Had a few, though most fell apart a few weeks/months into it.
Will you be active?: Yes. Though I'm due Feb 9th, so there may be a few hectic days in there down the line.
Will you be willing to breed QHs?: I already do, running about 68 atm, not counting foals.
List other breeds if not: Anything really, so long as the color variety is good.
Preferred specialties?: For QHs, nothing but western, though I do like to start them off as something else so I can feed them hay cubes and convert.

I have relatively strict rules on raising and breeding horses, because I can't stand seeing them go neglected or skipping days. I would prefer though to start with either 8 horses (4 pairs) or 16 horses (8 pairs) as they breed down in even breeding pairs (ex. 16 horses have 8 foals, 8 foals have 4 foals, 4 foals have 2 foals, then to a single foal at the end.)

I also wouldn't mind partnering with more than one person, if you so choose. I'm constantly raising foundation herds up (as you can see if you look at my page) so raising a group of foundies is nothing new to me, haha.

Past partnerships: one that didn't really workout
Will you be active?: yes, im on everyday
Will you be willing to breed QHs?: already do
List other breeds if not: anything
Preferred specialties?: western

I would be willing to go in with you and Nittrous and start my lines over to get better quality! I also like Nittrous idea of breeding seeing as it would make the breeding easier with more than one breeder.

Past partnerships: None
Will you be active?: Yep
Will you be willing to breed QHs?: Yep, they're my main squeeze and I've been looking to start another new line.
List other breeds if not: Any
Preferred specialties?: Western, always western.

I also like what Nittrous suggested and prefer to have an even number of breeding pairs (which is why I typically breed each pair twice) and am willing to start lines with multiple people, I love starting foundation lines.
