Losing money in shows no matter what.

So I have a string of high-stat horses that I use for showing until training is back up. Only now I realize it's been useless to show them so far - no matter which options I use (lowest entries, cheapest, etx) for showing, I lose money despite my horses getting 1st place.



I don't think it's a bug, but is it just unlucky that I'm not getting anything out of it or can something be improved? I want the stats but I don't want to lose money :/

So in your bank history you're loosing money overall?

Mine are doing decent:
$29,310 Amount earned in shows yesterday. 11:35:43
$12,780 Amount spent on show entry fees yesterday. 11:35:43

And it looks like your horses should be making you decent money. If you're paying 10-50 per show then most of those horses should have made you a minimum of $20.

Maybe doing 1/2 your horses in most expensive and 1/2 in cheapest might work well for a little while. Just a guess though. :)

O.o... So if you entered Gold Miner in 10 shows, at $10 a show. That's $100 for the day in fees for him/her.
If he/she only has the results shown (3*90+3*85), he/she made 525 in earnings.

How is that not earning more than you spent?

Yes Aglet, I've consistently been earning less than I spend

My bank history says yesterday I spent $13k and earned $7k in shows. I forgot to add that in! One of the days when I entered all cheapest shows, I spent $1900 and earned $1500.

All my horses have won at least 3rd.

I'm not sure why it's happening ; n;

.-. I'm fairly certain I sat through and entered all my horses, that should have been 33k not 14k.

Seems a bit random though because the 20th was:
$32,446 Amount earned in shows yesterday. 13:33:52
$33,270 Amount spent on show entry fees yesterday.

And then shows not running properly.

Then on the 17th:
$33,746 Amount earned in shows yesterday. 13:55:01
$18,550 Amount spent on show entry fees yesterday.

It must be a bug then, not something you're doing. I personally think something wonky has been happening with my point gain, but haven't been able to find proof of it.

Are the 21 in show fodder the only ones you're entering right now?


--You might try recording all of the amount it's costing you per horse and then compare it with what the game says tomorrow? Maybe you could see if the math makes sense. You could also try adding up the money they've won and see if that is actually reporting correctly.

Yes, those are the only showing ones. I'll do that though, then see if it's a bug. Thanks!

Okay so I just added all of the winnings from each horse's page and got 6848 as the amount they won yesterday (though I probably missed one or two).

One thing I noticed when going through your horses is that many of them are unhappy, maybe try bringing up their happiness? I think that has a lot to do with the amount of stats, points, and money you get from shows now. (I could be wrong but I think that was something we discussed on Beta).

Are *all* of these horses being entered, actually earning placements? If some are not pulling in their fair share, might have to stop showing *all*.
