Questions About Contests

I know this is not an actual contest (yet) but I want to put one together soon. I just don't know what people like to do and wanted to get some ideas from you guys!

What type of contest do you prefer? Self-improvement (you as a player get better), horse improvement, competition against others (as players, your horse vs their horse?)

Do you prefer something that runs similar to the Contest for the Better (starts on the first day of the month, ends on the last) or would you rather have something that runs continuously instead of restarting?

Anything else you can think of feel free to post here. I don't need actual contest ideas, but I would love to know what people are going for in the game so I can hopefully put together something that will fit into your goals and push everyone to be better!
