Treats, specialties and disciplines

Hello!
I'm new and learning as I go, I ended up with a bunch of varied horses specializing on different things but I'm pretty sure I'm doing it wrong.

First question is, how do I choose my horse's discipline, which stats correspond to which discipline?

And the second question is, do treats have anything to do with disciplines and stats? How do I choose the correct treats for my horses?

Hey there and welcome! I gathered up a few links real quick to help you out. 

This link will take you to the help section category with the breakdown on what specialties need as far as your stat rolls.

As far as treating, go to town, and click on the item catalog. This catalog breaks down the traits and effects of all the items in the game. For a quick breakdown you are wanting the treats in the store until you get deeper into the game and you want to try different strategies for showing, etc. Or click here for the catalog

As far as showing strategies, making money, etc. I really recommend you click the "Game Guides" section in the main page of the forums. Once you read through a few of these and familiarize yourself you'll be well set to build a barn of great horses. Or click here for game guides forum
