Treats vs Bags of Treats

Hey guys, 

Sorry I looked but couldn't find anything other than an old post (maybe I was searching the wrong words?) about the differences between an apple vs bag of apples, turnip vs crate of turnips etc. 

Is there a difference? Or do they both give the same stat odds?

the stat odds are exactly the same but crates and bags give 5% more happiness than single apples and turnips

With the happiness that doesn't matter past 100% right? The horses are always at 100% happiness before I even get to the treating part. 

yes, that's true for me too, so I only really use bags and crates on horses which I happen to buy or pick from RC with very low happiness levels

I personally just use bagged treats because they're the only ones you can buy from the general store, so if I run out I can buy more. Also, I know that bagged treats have five uses, while normally ordinary treats have only one use.
