Hello!
I'm the new Admin of the club (check out the new newsletter) and I'm here to announce few changes to the club and to hear your opinion on it. I hope new features help to create lively community of Morgan breeders and create a strong base for new breeding initiative. Getting everything up and running will probably take some time, but I hope the result will be the club with fun features and regularly scheduled contests supporting members in various ways and creating the network of active players!
Updates so far:

Registry requirements update
To encourage foundation horses' registration (and creation of new, clear lines!) the required stat level is dropped to 250 total stats (N4 level). The rest of the requirements (80 Non-specialty stats and 55.00 confo) are left unchanged to ensure the overall quality of the registered horses.

Active breeders directory
This one is maybe not the most pleasant one but I feel it's the one that needs to be done - the breeders' directory will be reset and all the breeders who have not logged in since more than 3 months will be removed to create a list of currently active Morgan breeders and the rest of the breeders will be asked if they'd like to be left on the list of the active breeders. If you wish to be added to the list, you just need to PM me (also, if I deleted you from the list and you wish to be included back PM me and I'll put your name back on the list).

Stay tuned, more updates are coming soon! (don't forget to let me know what you think about it)

Hello everyone!
There's new feature in the club! The old 'club goals' cathegory had been disabled and instead of it a new feature has been implemented:

Achievements:
Achievements are a system of prizes for exeptional breeding results. It's meant to promote creation of new clean lines and herds and development of existing ones.

Which horses qualify for achievements? The horses qualifying for achievements have to be home-bred (bred by you), and clear-lined (that means that horses shouldn't repeat in their pedigree - preferably all the way to the foundation. Distant relativity of the lines of sire and dam is allowed in case of 5gen+ horses) without overbred horses in their ancestry.

How do the achievements work?
So far you can get achievements in 3 different cathegories:
- population, which grant you rewards for developing your herd,
- trainer, which reward players who breed and train for performance,
- conformation, for those who patiently improve confo of their horses.

While in case of population achievements and trainer achievements you can get each achievement only once, you can apply for conformation achievements more than once.
All of the available achievements are listed on the club's page.
The achievement list may and probably will change to still prove a good challenge to members :)

Breeders' Directory update
I also rearranged the Breeders' Directory to be more compact and inclusive to members with basic account - it now showcases member's name in the first place and stable name in the second.

What do you think about the changes? Do you have some ideas on how to improve the club? I'd love to hear your feedback!
(more changes are coming soon - among them regularly scheduled contests and - hopefully - a system of foundie sales for members who seek to start a new herd or to develop an existing one)

Because I'd like to create a new contest system I'd like to know your opinion on this idea!
The main idea is that we'd have a short contest every two weeks. They would be based on horse conformation, and like similar horse shows they would be divided into cathegories - first two weeks would be a mare confo show, second a stallion confo show and the third would be Young Horses confo show ('the young horse' could be up to 5-6yo), though I'm a little on the fence whether creating this cathegory makes sense or not.
The prize of course would be a sum of EVD but also maybe a badge which you could put into your horses' public notes and a special feature if you'd like to put them up for stud/brood.
As a club can run 2 contests simultaneously these contests wouldn't interfere with e.g. mascot contests, but could be a fun way to get additional funds as a reward for breeding horses with good conformation.
I also have an idea for an in-club rankings of the horse with highest stats and it would work similar to the achievements - meaning you'd need to send me a heads-up that you've got a Morgan which beats the record and there'd be a prize for it. If the interest'd be high, we could even make separate rankings for each discipline.
What do you think about it?

The mascot contest is open! Aside from 100 000 EVD as the main prize we've got a 5 000 EVD participation prize for everone who enters the contest!
The next 3 mascot contests are going to be focused on base coats - this month all bay horses and bay dilutions/modifiers will get additional points! :)

Aside from updated achievements (now you can get a prize for 1st gen horses too) I'd like to announce we've got a new club feature - it's a system of foundie adoptions/sales for the members.

EV gives random horses and not everyone can affort selecting a good foundie out of 60 or 80. Sometimes you even get a horse which is very nice, but not for your discipline. So in order to create a resource which would help completing herds and make breeding Morgans easier I created a herd of already selected EC foundies to choose from - they're bred from 0yo (some I aquired in older age, you can know that by their name). They're fed discipline-specific treats and trained, and once they're adult they're equipped with 5/5 tack. The whole incentive is nicknamed Kingfisher Initiative, and it's a good place to check out if you have trouble finding a foundie with natural stat distribution correct for a discipline you're breeding. It's housed on my second account, hence the so-far limited size of a herd.

The adoptions - or sales - are limited to just our club members, so it's supposed to be a club feature.
I'm waiting for your feedback - what do you think about it?
Have a nice day, and stay safe and healthy!
Admin

Just a short update - since it hasn't been stated clearly, I added the information that we don't accept cubed horses into registry to the 'Registry Requirements' section.

We've got new mascot contest! http://www.equiverse.com/club-contest.php?id=400

I've got a new idea for a contest - as our mascot contests are scheduled to run in the second half of the month, the first half of the month is a still time in the club. It would be a good idea to have a second show, running in the first half of the month. My idea is that we would hold a conformation-based championate, interchangeably for mares and stallions. The rules would be simple - any adult horse could be submitted to the contest once and, apart from a nice participation prize the winner would get a sum of EVD and a feature on the club's page - the full list would be held on the first post of the forum topic (this would require establishing the new official forum topic).
What do you think about it? Do you have other ideas for the second show? I would love to hear your opinions! :)

The 1st AMHA Mare Conformation Show is open for entries! In this formula the conformation shows will be organised for mares and stallions interchangeably, and will be scheduled for first half of each month. Each horse can be a winner once (I haven't included this rule yet bc it's the first edition with horse gender restrictions). This contest's goal is to give breeders who keep confo in mind a way to show their horses and get rewards for their hard work!

Also, our mascot contest voting is on until Oct 2nd, so make sure You've chosen Your favourite! :)
