*Add a way to secure stallions (prevent gelding)

Hello, everyone.  I just had an idea: I think there should be a way to "secure" a stallion in order to prevent it from being accidentally gelded.  Maybe a toggle on the horse's page?  If the stallion was secured, it wouldn't show up on the list of horses that could be gelded, thus preventing unfortunate accidents.  I have a couple of breeding projects that would be really messed up if I accidentally gelded the wrong horse--like my Appaloosa colt, who is my only Appaloosa with silver, or my Chincoteague stallion who is ff ZZ PP STYSTY--and I'm sure there are other people who have similar situations.

I feel that it might be easier to make the gelding page only accessible from the horse you wish to geld.

So I go to my stallion's page that I wish to geld, click the vet button, and where there is a current drop-down menu of horses geldable it now only shows a button that says "Geld name of horse" when I click the button (the normal, are you sure you want to geld horse name here?" pops up) I click yes and he is gelded, no other horse appears from his page. Where the button used to be it now says, "Horse name is already gelded".

This would make gelding a lot of horses at one time far more difficult; but I think it would be better than the current system to insure that only the correct horse is gelded.

@insomniaglet

I like that idea.  It sounds like it would be easier to implement than my version.

No support on insomniaglet's idea. As someone who mass gelds pretty frequently that would be extremely agitating for me. I don't have time to go to 40+ horses pages to geld them.

@Lucifer

Actually, that does sound like a pain.  Just out of curiosity, why do you geld so many horses?  Is it to keep your lines under your own control?

Maybe we could have a page similar to the treat assignment page for gelding, or better yet a page like that that will assign a "shield" to stallions so they do not show up on the geld drop down at the vet.
