Critique my pixel art

I think it's mostly the waves. They seem too bright. It's what things might look like underwater and it seems slightly out of place.

(still 1000x better than what I could ever come up with)

...this is SO weird, I was trying to make a beach pixel tag yesterday and I couldn't get it right either so I gave up pfft

Hmm...well, it looks a lot better than my attempt did for starters. I actually like the clouds, I think what needs work is the water. It doesn't look like it's flowing at an angle, it looks like it's one flat plane. Closer to the sand I think the patches should be thinner, with more lines, to give it that effect.

Maybe shadows from the clouds way out in the back? Really, I think it looks lovely the way it is, and a horse would break up all the sand so that's not an issue. It might be why you feel something is missing, just cause there's no subject in there. :)

i agree with what everyone else said, also as water comes closer to the beach it thins out and becomes lighter so it's not bright blue all the way up. just like this and also you could make the sand a bit darker by the water to look like wet sand like this.

overall i think its amazing and once you slap a horse on there its going to break up everything c:

And haha im actually not going to be adding a horse into this. Its just background practise :)

Maybe darken the water a bit more, and blend it a bit more? I loves this! XD

I definatley agree with the comments on the water. It seems to be at a weird angle. Other than that, it looks pretty incredible.
