This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, Arty ~🤎~, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

I also play on FurryPaws which also has a bump function, but I would love it if we implemented this;

It's just a banner that refreshes every time a user bumps the thread and tells you who did it. I know bumping annoys some artists because they don't want their thread at the top of the forum when it's closed and it feels like people are just being impatient.

Edit: Tell me why you wouldn't support this if you don't o:

Edit2: I feel like Vos and UlyssesBlue have the best idea/reasoning for doing this. It prolly should be a mods-only feature so that mods can check that nobody is breaking the rules since it's hard to enforce a rule you can't check on.

I completely support this.

We have players who abuse the bump button in order to keep their posts at the top of the forums, which is against the rules. And it would be lovely to be able to confirm that they are bumping constantly in order to properly enforce the rules...

Maybe if it was just something only the mods could see?

Completely agree with this. If a player bumps my threads I get extremely irritated and it discourages me from even finishing orders that day.
unnecessary bumping should be treated like unnecessary commenting. Unnecessary comments get deleted, so unnecessary bumping should at least get a warning.

If my topic is closed, I just put that in the title, then it doesn't bother me where it is on the list :) Bumping of my topics doesn't bother me, even if it is impatient. It doesn't make me go any faster, and I don't make a big deal about it :3

Because editing posts now bumps forums; I'd want there to be some distinction between a forum edit and an "actual" bump. Honestly I don't get why bumping forums bothers other people so much, but I'd be okay with this addition as I rarely bump forums anyway.

To me, I don't see the point of this. I never have issues with bumping and I don't see the reason of display names of last bump. I kinda can see some snobby/meaner/impatient players message or make post saying something like: "STOP BUMPING MY POSTS, BLAH BLAH, *INSERT SWEAR WORDS HERE*, BLAH". Younger players tend to bump topics often so I am concerned that older players will snapped at younger ones and younger ones will go on forums and post about it then caused more drama.

Personally, I don't support this. I feel that people want this feature for wrong reason and it can cause some problem.

What exactly is the rule for how often we can bump threads? I've read the Terms and Conditions and the forum rules for various forums but I haven't seen a rule for bumping. While ignorance is not an excuse for breaking the rules, it is hard to follow a rule if you don't know it exists.

You can bump one topic 1 minute after the other, however I believe posting "bump" to bump it is still not allowed

Sadly our moderator handbook isn't really up and running yet so we're going on what we remember and can confirm through each other at the moment D:

Basically the rule is "no incessant bumping". If your thread falls off the first page of posts or hasn't been replied to in a while, you can bump it.

We have had problems even recently with players (adults, even) bumping their threads whenever another thread took the top space in the forum... that's abusing the privilege of bumping, not to mention annoying.

I liked the old limit of (5?) bumps allowed per day.

I just didn't like the limit when I had multiple posts to bump but I do like the rule of thumb where you don't bump unless it's off the first page

I agree with everyone. Edits should not bump a post, and people should be able to see who bumped. I think thei would solve a lot of problems we see in the forums
