Because he deserves a thread of his own lol

RENO is my little studmuffin. He was born on March 22 in 2008 and retired from racing in 2010. I adopted him from a racehorse rescue in November 2011 as a coming four year old. He is registered as brown, but he has not been DNA tested so he could be either bay or brown. His pedigree isn't the most impressive out there, but it contains some good horses. I'm sort of obsessed with finding relatives of his...

He was skinny when I took him home and became a sort of classical dressage project for the facility owner/trainer at the barn. Not a lot of training happened due to her having Fibromyalgia and undergoing various surgeries. Over time he gained weight, filled out, and I just let him be a horse for a while.

Photos tend to make him look tall. He's really just a little 15.3 hand dude. My little shortstack.

He likes getting nose kisses.

And giving them as well.

To me...

To friends' fathers...

To my brother...

Sometimes he likes to pretend he is a fancy Arabian.

And he has a trot to DIE for.

He can be majestic when he wants, but usually he's a derp.

And he looks fabulous in purple.

And most importantly... he has the cutest little ears!

Gorgeous! He is so pretty! I have RIDDEN an Ottb before, they are defienatly fun ones! My dressage coach had an Oldenburg that was 17.3 and he looked short in photos....I thought Reno was like over 16 hands....oops. Deceiving photos. He is a beauty!

I miss riding OTTBs at the riding academy I was in. Glad you included the one with my dad. He truly loves Reno, and my dad can be picky with horses lol. He loves the silly ones (Mack). Reno certainly does have a gorgeous trot, and build. I need to get some nice 'action shots' of Mack, once I've worked with him more. Right now he's fuzzy, muddy, and fat. He's also a big baby at the moment about being worked. It's just groundwork, haven't hoped on him yet. His pedigree is nice, too. I've finally located Mack (he has an online one), and Sidekick's pedigree.
