Aglets Experiment Update

So... many of you may have heard about my experiment; though probably many of you haven't heard about it.

The Experiment:
I'm using this account (one of my spares) to try and understand how difficult it actually is to start from the ground up on this new version of the game. Mainly this is to see how hard it is to actually make money and what must be done to do so.

-This account had 0% at lvl 0
-I gave the account 50k as seed money
-This account does have auto care left-over from my old use of it. Because auto care doesn't give any monetary bonus I've been using it to save myself some time.

Results up to Now:
-I bought 4 three year old store horses and 4 store foals.
-It took 1 day showing 4 horses to reach lvl 3; and it took 2 days showing 4 horses to reach lvl 5.
-I've competed these horses daily and cared for them daily. Their stats are awful due to the stat crisis we're in right now lol.
-I've made roughly 45k since I started last week.
-My horses have been loosing money every day when I show them; however everyday they do a little bit better and place higher in shows so I have hope for them yet.
-I make ~10k everyday from the games alone (which more than covers my showing costs and horse care costs).
-I've been making ~150 evd from the interest (so ~1050 evd since I started last week).
-I've been slowly updating my tack to lvl 5, everyday spending ~3k to update as much tack as I can. I think in the next 4 days all my tack should be completely updated.
-I've sold all the equipment and treats I get from the fountain, apple bobbing, and junk yard in the item market which is a small boost but helps
-At the end of the day I put all of my on hand money in the bank and leave it there to collect interest. Actually I've yet to withdraw money from my bank account. Everyday I go the fountain and get money, then I play higher/lower, then I do the coin toss, at the end of this I have roughly 15k. Then I show my horses, repair my tack, deposit 10k into the bank, and use whatever money is left in hand to update as much tack as I can.


I'll be continuing the experiment until these horses reach 20 years old; I wanna know how much money can be made from purely playing the game in that much time.

I would point out that I do understand that I have the advantage of already knowing how to play the game. Then only way to remedy this would be to knock myself in the head and hope for amnesia; which I'm unwilling to do. This isn't to show that new players will be able to understand the new layout & actions required to play the game. It is an experiment to see if money can be made by with a new/young account. I know that newbies will make mistakes and have issues with game; but I wanna see how much money can be made when the game is played carefully.

Thaxs Feathered Gold, so far it's been an enlightening experience; I honestly thought that making money showing would be much easier than it has been lol.

Yeah, I myself only sell art when I need money for all my fluffy and agile poneh's.......

I have terrible luck in the games so they don't help gain EVD for me. How much do the games factor in for you? I'm just curious. Good luck with this! I can't wait to see the final results!

I make roughly 13k everyday from the games and fountain combined.

Very nice experiment. I might have missed it but are you doing only cheap shows or? I have noticed since the base amount has switched to 20 I now am more likely to get slightly less back than I paid vs before when I would break even or do a small profit.

Because I don't have auto show on that account, I'm doing the first ten that pop up. So it has been a mixture of more expensive and cheaper shows.

13k from games? Wow! I have no luck at the games. I'm lucky if I win the 1k from the Apple Bobbing. You have Lady Luck on your side!

Well more like I play the statistics. ;)

On high/low if the number is lower than 5 I say the next number will be higher. If the number is higher than 5 I say the next number will be lower. If the number is 5 then I go with the opposite of my last guess.

On the coin toss I always bet 1k and go with tails (though if you always go with heads you should get similar results). Because of how the coin toss works you'll normally, though not always, make money doing that.

OMGosh! You have changed the Games Tent for me! I won $3,600 on High/Low & 18k on the Coin Toss! If I could grab you I'd kiss you right now! Even if I'd only one $100 more than what I spent I'd have been happy because I never won on either of them before! *bows to Aglet* You are a genius!
