Luna

After they had eaten, Luna was bored. "Well, what should we do now?" she asked Landon again. "My grandmother won't be back until tomorrow, so we can wreck the house if we want," Luna laughed. "Then again, maybe not."

Landon

Landon laughed at Luna's comment. "Only if you have the ability to clean it all up," he replied jokingly. He thought about what they could do. "Do you have any board games we could play?"

Luna

"Yes, but bored games are boring." Just then, the power suddenly went out, just like at school. A moment of silence followed. "Landon?" Luna said, with fear in her voice. 

Landon

Landon flinched at the power shutting off suddenly, but calmed down in a matter of seconds. He took a step toward where Landon believed Luna to be, accidentally stepping on her foot. "Oops, sorry."

Luna

"It's okay," Luna said. She shivered. "It's cold down here, now that the heater won't work."

Landon

Landon wrapped his arms around Luna in an attempt to make her feel warmer. He hadn't realized how awkward it was until they stood there in silence for what seemed like forever. He hoped that the storm would be over soon and that they would have power again. He soon pulled away from Luna asking, "Is that better?"

Luna

"A little," Luna said, secretly glad that Landon was there. "The T.V. is battery operated when it needs to be, so we can turn it on and see how long this storm will last." Luna felt her way to the couch, sat down, and turned the television on. 

Landon

Landon used the dim lighting of the tv to make his way to the couch next to Luna. "It looks like we'll be here all night according to this," he said while observing the radar map that the news was showing. "Better get comfortable."

Luna

Luna turned the T.V. off to save battery, then snuggled up to Landon. It was getting colder by the minute. She knew her pets would be okay, since they had blankets in all their cages, but she was freezing.

Landon

Landon watched it grow dark again, straining to adjust his eyes to it. He felt Luna get closer to him, and for a moment he couldn't think of what he should do. Then, he wrapped his arms around her. "Would you like for me to go get a blanket," he asked.

Luna

One thing Luna didn't have in the basement were blankets. They were all currently in the wash, after a leak. "No," Luna said. "There's none down here."

Landon

"Oh," Landon said, "Okay." Landon felt the chilly air surrounding him and he was sure that if it wasn't so dark that he could almost see his breath. Even if he was exaggerating a little, it was still cold.

Luna

Even though it was a few hours before she usually went to sleep, Luna felt tired. She felt her eyes closing, but couldn't fight sleep. She fell asleep rather quickly, and started dreaming about flying.

Landon

Landon wasn't in the slightest tired, but when he noticed the Luna had fallen asleep he felt the need to. It was rather early to sleep. The boredom got to him rather quickly, and sleep overcame him. 

Luna

Luna woke up at 4:24 in the morning, according to her watch. At first, Luna wondered where she was, then realized that she was in the basement with Landon, who was still sleeping. "Landon?" She whispered.
