Proud Mama

I found the old videos of L and I's first jumps, lines and courses and I may or may not have started crying because shes come so far over the past year and 4 months, words cannot describe how proud I am of her.

She has made me the rider that I am today and Im so proud of both of us, its so mind blowing for me to look back at the old videos of us from merely a year ago (although it feels like ive owned her my whole life) and see how far we've both come, we look like a totally different pair.

She took me from the rider who was struggling to get around 2 foot 4 fence courses to the rider that does a 2'6 8+ jump course with ease.  
And of course, I took her from the little mare who had just been broke and looked pregnant, who was so out of shape that she broke a sweat with 15 minutes of w/t work to the pony who can easily clear 2'6 courses and is so confident and brave.  From the pony that would drag me around the ring, head up high in the air, to the pony that consistently wins in the pleasure classes.  From the "just broke" rider and the "just broke" pony to the confident, moderately successful pair we are today.

Next year we'll be showing 2'6 at the higher level shows and I cant wait to see where we are at this time next year.

Sorry for the huge amount of sap, Im just so incredibly proud of her
