Breeding Requests

#56216 Posted on 2016-07-25 15:04:46

I've looked through the Forums and couldn't find an answer. A few weeks ago I sent a breeding request for one of my mares, the fee was taken out of my account, and as of today my mare still hasn't been bred. She is now 21, and I would like to put her in a locked division before 22 (4 days away). My question is...
What do I do?
Have I just lost my breeding fee?
Will my fee be returned to me when I lock her?

I don't think your breeding fee will be sent back.
*taken from the page of a random stallion up for private stud.
Please note that the stud fee will go out of your money in hand immediately. If the request is rejected, or you sell your mare, you will get this money refunded.

It's obvious that the owner of the stud simply never accepted your breeding request.

If I were you, lock your mare, until you find another stud you like, then put a age back potion on her to get her below 21, and breed the mare to that other stud. :)

P.S. - I just noticed that I own two of her foals on my Paint account. I can sell one of them to you if you want a foal from her. :)

I would personally send a polite message to the person who owns the stud and ask the, for your money back. Make sure to explain the entire situation to the person as well. Also I would personally put the mate in a locked division to keep her from ageism until you get a reply.
But as feathered said the person owning the stud may not give you your money back.

No, no, no......

The owner of the stud does NOT receive the money right away when a breeding request is sent in UNTIL they accept it. I receive breeding requests quite often for my boys and until I accept the breeding request (which is only after I check to make sure the mare meets my requirements) I do not receive the stud fee. I hope I am making sense. :)

Makes sense, I'll just keep her locked up until something happens. But if I can't get the other player to reject the request, the only way to get my money back is by selling the mare?

If you want, you can sell her to me, then I'll send her back and you'll get your money and mare back.

@Feathered: Yes! You have the only two foals I bred. Her other 3 babies were from previous owners. I don't necessarily want a foal of hers, just had planned on breeding her a 6th time before locking her up since she gained quite a few more stats. I'm happy and content with the babies I bred. No need to breed again. But thanks for the offer! :D
