Coat and marking randomizers

#55334 Posted on 2016-07-22 09:28:21

I'm just getting started in Appaloosas this week and have been playing around with coat and marking randomizers in the foundations I picked up. I've gotten pretty lucky!

Bleed American
Coat randomizer | Bay to black (boring), then black to perlino dun
Marking randomizer | Few spot to tobiano roan

Early April Morning
Coat randomizer | None
Marking randomizer | Few spot to frame splash

Faith in Something
Coat randomizer | None
Marking randomizer | Few spot to splash

How Bizarre
Coat randomizer | None
Marking randomizer | Few spot to sabino

Vegas Vice
Coat randomizer | Chestnut to ivory gold champagne dun
Marking randomizer | Few spot to blanket

What have been your highs and lows? I've had to use a second coat randomizer on more than one occasion in other breeds.

I had a Trake go from chestnut to bay and my face went -_-

The first color randomizer I ever used was on gray Gypsy I got from the RC. He changed to moreno, so I was pretty thrilled.
