Club activities/ideas?

I just thought I'd brainstorm some ideas here for things breed clubs and their presidents could do. I'd love to hear your own suggestions, and your opinions on those already suggested. This is not for any particular club, but ideas for clubs in general, although if your idea would only work for a certain club that's fine too. I'm hoping that this will serve as a useful resource for future club presidents or those campaigning.

1. Compile a 'breeders directory' of all players who breed your club's breed, possibly divided up by those who focus on certain disciplines, or colour, or conformation.

2. Run a contest/election to select the club mascot. Players could nominate suitable horses and vote for their favourites. Player who has their horse chosen could get a prize.

3. Run a contest for players to train/breed towards a certain goal. If could be for a horse to gain the most stats over a time period, or breed the highest conformation, or breed a foal whose genes most closely resemble a pre-stated genotype.

4. Run a contest to encourage players to register their horses with the club. For example, a raffle where each horse a player registers gets them one ticket, then winners are drawn at random near the end of the month.

5. Arrange a mentoring system for new players/breeders.

6. Create a discussion board or similar for discussions about the breed.

7. Give-aways/raffles, with prizes such as deluxe memberships, layouts, EVC, EVD, etc.

8. Games/activities such as scavenger hunts.

Along with these I plan on doing a deluxe membership giveaway, a weekly raffle, possible layout giveaway, and maybe a scavenger hunt because it's my birthday month in March :D

I'm aware, i've played other sim games that have had clubs without a club bank. I have a few mill between all three accounts that will be funding it.

I must obtain thoroughbreds just so I can be in this club. I'll be pming you
