Closed-The Story of Argo and Sela

After a couple of minutes the mare awakened once again, amazed when she found her whole body free of scares. She whispered a thank you to whoever who helped her, her heart radiating gratefulness. Melusine trotted out of the cave, looking around for the stallion who had helped her at the corral earlier.

"What happened?" Argo said amazed. "You aren't covered in any scratches anymore! Someone must have come in and helped you. I was just gone for 5 minutes. I got these berries, my herd uses them often for healing."

"I don't know, whoever it was...he/she must be my guardian angel." she grinned, her forelock falling over her left eye, giving her a shy look. Melusine then spoke sweetly "We could still eat them, you certainly want them to go to waist. By the way...I never thanked you for saving me. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart."

(I'm going to bed, I'll reply tomorrow)

(Mkay, night!)

"It's cool. You can have them, I'm fine." Argo said giving the berries to Melusine. "So why did that guy attach you?" Argo asked.

(I just remembered last night that her name was supposed to be Sela. Want me to change it?)

"He fell off the saddle, it wasn't my fault! He made it too loose. And he got very mad, crazy mad." she explained, looking at him from ear to hoof. Melusine looked away quickly before he noticed she was looking at him.

(If it's okay with you, go ahead.)

"I know what you mean. I was once a horse that was ridden. I was the horse that little kids rode. They would forget to tighten the girth, fall off and it would be my fault. One day I was exhausted, and the little kids couldn't get me going, so the trainer came and... well, you know what happened next." Argo told her. He felt bad to lie about his past, but he knew he had to do it.

"Humans can be so cruel at times." Sela sighed, looking down at her hoofs and remembering the terrifying moment earlier. She looked back up at him and asked "Do you have any family?"

"I used to. I was born and raised at the barn I told you about. When I turned 5, the moved to to a ranch out in the middle of no where. The tried turing me into a western horse, but...it was, bad. They weren't good people. The ponies there were abused. One, Buck, told me to leave before they hurt me. So I took his advice. When the put me into the pasture the next day, I jumped over the fence and ran away. I've been in these areas for around 3 months now." Argo explained.

Sela simply nodded, not willing to tell him her tale of woe. "I shall be leaving tomorrow, I will not overstay my welcome." she replied firmly but kindly. She was a strong mare, but sweet at the same time, a rarity indeed. At the present moment she only thought of the stallion as a kind stranger.

"Oh, where are you going?" Argo asked. "Because I know this place with great grass..." Argo didn't want to have to use magic on her, but he felt he may have to.

(He could pretend to kidnap her? So she'll stay?)

"I don't know yet. But I must leave." she replied while turning around to leave. There had been a change of plans, she would leave tonight. Sela trotted towards the creek, going to get a sip of water before leaving.

(Ok)

Argo knew his duties, so he had to follow. He trotted a few feet behind her, watching.

Sela felt someone following behind her, causing her to feel uneasy. She quickly finished her drink, then trotted away from the cite. Her ears perked up as she listened hoof prints behind her.
