I'd definitely join in on this said group, it's an amazing effort and would help a lot of the newer players out. :D

I would make the group, but I'm not a deluxe member. If somebody wants to create the group feel free to. I'd be more then happy to help run it and everything, but I myself can't create it.

Let me see how my first week of summer certification classes go. I'm a deluxe member and can probably help organize/start it if time allows.

i'm slightly obsessed with the new schooling feature and kind of want to buy a million foundies to play with, so i fully support this. i do think we should charge more than just $200 for the horses once we decide to sell them (i agree with Kahzie that $1000-5000 isn't too much to ask).

i'd be happy to set up the group if we can decide on a name for it

I have already done this with both a group of Gypsy Vanners from today and a group of Quarter Horses, all from the RC. Can I be part of this??

I'm definitely in! Anchor, I love this idea! I'm not sure about the pricing though. I think the thought was to keep them around RC price since newer players don't have a lot of EVD. (Anchor, please correct me if I misunderstood.) I'd be happy to start the group since I'm deluxe, but I know others offered before me. I think there are a couple of things we might want to hammer out before the club is made.

1. Name of club
2. Horse price
3. All breeds or certain breeds?
4. Stat level vs. age? Do we put them up for sale at a certain stat level or when they reach a certain age?

I'm very excited about this!

maybe we could attach price to breeds? like popular breeds would be a bit more expensive than the less popular breeds in order to encourage people to get into the less popular breeds.

i'm not sure about stat level vs age. i can see pros and cons of both

What if we sell them for $1000 per 100 stats? So a 314 horse would go for $3000?
I also think we should do all breeds OR focus of breeds that have the lowest number in game? To try and promote them?

Also, what qualifies as a newbie? Under a year? Six months?

i think $1k per 100 stats is reasonable.

we could go by how long someone has been on the game, or by player points/level.

Haha Anchor,Crazy A.ngel, Valzed I can help out if you three want to take the lead.

Some thoughts:
--I think you guys will know better what age or stat goal will be more feasible. Additionally, maybe we could encourage the members who are contributing horses to maybe lock the horse once it reaches that age or stats. In this case it would allow sort of a "catalogue" of prepped horses to build up, and a horse to not age out of the program, so to speak. Unless we want that?

--I'm tempted to say "new" be at or under 6 months because that's a little bit longer than the first cycle of their own foundations go through. BUT it may be beneficial for the first year.

--Should probably open it to all breeds, although ot would be cool to have breeding pairs of the less-popular breeds available. If we're going off of what's in the RC on any given day, it seems GV are always plentiful while others (Lippy, Andalusian, Miniatures, etc) don't always have horses available. That's just been from me stalking the RC this week for geldings and vanners though. So trying to limit it to the less-popular breeds may be difficult without us buying foundies to get it going.

--1k per 100pts seems reasonable to meeeeeee

I have a couple other thoughts but phone is about to die...give me a few minutes LOL

C.razy A.ngel, since you offered first after Ducky, you have first dibs for creating the group. :)

As for the issues at hand...

- Club Name: I like your ideas Tidewater, especially the last two. I also came up with Rescue Rehab and From Rescues to Royals. I don't really have a preference for the name, maybe we could have a quick vote?

- Breeds: I think we should have all breeds because like Ducky said, some breeds aren't always available. However, I do like the reasoning behind only doing certain breeds. Maybe we could occasionally have competitions focusing on the unpopular breeds?

- Stats vs. Ages & Prices: I think we should do it by ages because if they want to buy multiple breeding pairs it would be a bit annoying to have one pair that's 5 and will age in 4 days, and the other is 5 but will age in 6. Me being the perfectionist I am that would drive me crazy and deter me from buying more then one pair.

It would also tie nicely into a way of pricing the horses. I like the idea of $1,000 for every 100 stats the horse has, but I don't think it would be fair to price a 314 statted horse the same as a horse with 375 stats. I think that if a horse has 314 stats it should be sold for $3140 and a horse with 375 should be sold for $3750.

That's my take on it though, does anybody have anything better? Is their anything I hadn't touched on yet?

I think somebody mentioned it previously, but we will need to make a catalogue of some sort of all of the members and their breeding pairs. Included in the catalogue should be the horses names, breeds, ages, prices, if they're ready to be bought, or if they have already been claimed.

On the topic of being claimed I think that if a new member looks at the catalogue and sees a pair that they like, but they're not ready to be sold, then they could put a 'claim' on them, but there should definitely be restrictions on that.

1. You can only claim X amount of pairs at one time.
2. If you don't have the money available or are inactive the day the horses become of age the claim you will be allowed 24 hours to contact us, otherwise the owner has the right to put the horses available to the public.

^^ Those are the two that I thought of, but I think the members who are raising the horses have the right to decide who to re-home the horses to. If they want to be lax on those rules then they should, it's their horses.

Also, I think it would be wise to have "seasons" for buying and selling or even staggered seasons so we don't run out of horses to offer. That way new members might be able to buy multiple pairs from different users.

Maybe every Monday and Tuesday is the day to enter your pairs into the catalogue and then Saturdays you can officially say that they're available. It would give the person time and it would give us some sort of order. For example, if you were raising a pair, but you locked them for two or three days when you went of vacation. The horses wouldn't be old enough by the deadline, but when they become old enough midway though the next week you can lock them and then announce they're available next Saturday. It will just make everything neater and easier to organize in the long run for the people organizing everything. It doesn't mean that you have to buy your pairs on Monday, it just means that you enter them into the database on Monday.

I know I might've confused a lot of people with that. When I get an idea I just roll with it and don't stop until it's all written. Sorry about that. >.< If you're confused just ask me to explain it and I will.
_______________

Also about how long the members have to be on the game to be considered new, I have no idea. I'll need to look at how many new members we get per day and play with the math a bit in my head before I get to any solid number. If somebody wants to do that for me, then be my guest!

I like Anchors idea for prices.
314 Stats = $3140
375 Stats = $3750

I also like the weekly "auction" idea... Horses are posted on the club page on Mondays to give people time to look through them and decide what they want, and then sold on Saturdays.

Maybe we should only be raising and selling pairs? With the intent of starting solid breeding programs?

As for names... So far we have:
Lost Angel Rehab Club
Lost Angels Club
Zeroes to Heroes
Rescue Rehab
From Rescues to Royals
Rescued Royals
Forgotten Horses
Starting Lines
New Beginnings
Second Chance Stables

(If I missed any feel free to let me know)

I believe we should have all breeds we can available so that newbies can get started with what they want but I firmly believe we should put focus on the "unpopular" breeds...

I love all of Anchor's & the other ideas. I agree that we should do all breeds & raise a pair together. I'd be willing, if none can be found in the RC, to get whatever "unpopular" breeds are needed from the EC. In fact, I'd be willing to be a "dedicated" EC breeder if need be. I had one thought on the "claim" idea. What if we give the person who claimed them 24 hours to message us before they go up for grabs? Just in case someone has an emergency and isn't on EV for that day? I also have a couple of name suggestions...

Starting Lines
New Beginnings
Second Chance Stables
