TWH Breeders?

#31316 Posted on 2016-04-16 03:21:06

I am just wondering who all out there are TWH breeders?

And what you are looking for?

I personally am breeding for stats with color as a bonus.

I just started breeding them, I'm breeding for stats and showing in western. I don't really care about color because if they aren't fancy I can name them after RL TWH's the same color haha

me me me me me!!! I've been breeding for years, probably since 2009. (I lost my herd though when my account glitched and didn't lock so now I have a new herd D: )

I breed for colour mostly(though I don't plan genos together... I just pair them together and say "hm.. I think those would make a good looking baby" XD), stats a very cose second. And I have an EXCELLENT conformation group of pons goin on that have nice colours (They were no breeds that I resurrected from the dead). If you're ever up for some TWH breeding collaborations I'm down :D

Me hehe, mine are for driving. My focus is stats and colour equally, they're just so pretty I feel like i'd be missing out if I didn't make the most of all the gorgeous colours and patterns!

@Siren
I'm down as well. Mine are trained in endurance and also it is kinda random how I pair for color!

I was asking because it seems like there's a good market for other breeds, but not so much for TWHs. Like not many for sale or stud. I think maybe some of the old breeders haven't imported their accounts yet.

most of my twhs are young...net set of upcoming studs are only 12 right now..so I dont have any to put up sigh... I have a bunch of custom store foundations aswell..but they're really young right now too...Its a waiting game for me...
Hard to find decent studs for sure...but i have lucked out and bred a few foals with >450 stats..I just have to wait til they're old enough to do anything with ...lolz
I dont sell horses very often...but if someone inquires about them..I do consider selling privately at times.
As for their popularity..we definitely need a club president who'll work hard on promoting the breed...that would help as well.

I used to have a whole herd, but I'm down to a single pair.
I might expand eventually, with a dual focus on stats and "gold" coloring, aka anything chestnut based with as many dilutes as possible :)

I've not yet picked a speciality though, and I'll probably put them in whatever their stats are best as once they're old enough :)

I'm breeding for conformation, and my TWHs have ended up being Endurance horses because that was their strongest class when I bought them.

Started up a small line of endurance TWHs. They're all foundations, and I got some lovely colors and patterns. I really wish flaxen was easier to get! But I don't have the credits to put into customs, so alas!

Eventually I'll try to have more available for stud/foals for sale, but for now they're all quite young, so that'll be a ways out!

I'm trying to decide if I want to very seriously establish my own line of them first, or if I'd rather have them as more of a "for fun" breed, and purchase lined ones if they strike my fancy.

If you're looking to breed to "ff" or "ZZ" or "ff ZZ "down the road, I have a bunch of custom stores that are either ff , ZZ or both... Alas, they're only 8 yrs old right now...so its a waiting game...pffft..
The oldest ff stud I have is only 13 right now...so again...we wait lolz...
most of my horses are solids..cream dilutes...roans...I found this guy tho...and fell in love with him...I think his name suits him to a T giggles...

He does look like a sundae! I'd totally take a bite, lol. :P

I'd love to breed to some of your horses, Windspun! Mine are only 3, so they've got a long way to go as well.
