Say My Name - Wolf RP - Start

#27657 Posted on 2016-04-06 14:41:42

Agapi decided to do a roleplay for the last bit of time she will be here. Please be aware, I am leaving probably by the end of May, so if this is still alive by then, I will ask someone else too carry this on in my place. Just wanted to give you all aheads up!

The Story -
Everyone is named after their most prominent trait. But this often chases judgement from the pack. There are some that are striving to change this. But there is a very small amount.

They are led by Valiant. A bold she-wolf. She hates this idea of all wolves being name after their main trait, most believe this is because her beloved brother was named Anemic. She and her small band of rebels are striving to change the pack laws that give wolves their names.

But almost, if not all, the higher ranks disagree. It doesnt help that the higher ranks are given great names, because they poses great traits, and so they see no reason for it to be changed.

But all this disagreement is dividing the pack, and some of the wiser elders think that this will cause the pack to go to war against itself, and the rebels will loose, being so small.

Bit who's side are you on? Do you chose to go against the grain, and be a rebel with Valiant? Or do you push for the code of laws to stay the same? You must chose a side. Ams by the looks of the tension between members, it must be soon.

The Code of Laws -
→ The Wise Elders chose the name of pups after studying and wtahcing closely on the litter , learning the most prominent trait of each pup. ←
→ No one may object to their given name. It is permanent. ←
→ The words of the Wise Elders must be obeyed. What they saw is Law. ←
→ Everyone carries the responsibility of caring for the pups, feeding everyone before themselves, and protecting all pack members. ←
→ Pups before given their names are called a body characteristic, nose/lick/belly/ear/etc. ←
→ If you have any suggestions, PM me! ←

The Rules -
• Be nice, general human courtesy is expected. If not given you will be booted from the RP.
• Be creative with names! I do not want to see a wolf named "Kind" or "Mean" or "Quiet"! Find interesting, creative synonyms!
• Try to keep genders somewhat even. Don't four males and own female, or vise versa.
• Be descriptive! 3+ sentences per post per character!
• Don't rear yourself to be descriptive. Instead of saying
" the golden brown male turned and growled, his brown coat shimmering in the moonlight "
Say
" his paled, moonlit golden brown coat shimmered in the silvery light as he growled at the trespasser '
• Dont handle problems between yourselves. Contact me if you have a problem with another player within the RP.
• Characters aren't perfect, and don't have powers. If someone says their character muttered almost inaudibly, your character cannot hear them, or what they say at least.
• Your character cannot be in the spotlight constantly!
• I can stress this enough, NO POWER/GOD PLAYING! CONTROL YOUR CHARACTERS AMD YOUR CHARACTERS ONLY. AND YOU DONT CONTROL WEATHER/TIME OF DAY/ETC. I DO.
• If you read these all so far, put 'Nameless' in Q/C/C.
• Don't go inactive without warning my first. I reserve the right to kill off characters that go inactive after a week or more (7+ days from last post).
• Might add more later.

~Gauge~
The greying red-black fae's cloudy amber orbs fluttered opened as she stretched her stiff limbs out before her, the twinge of pain all too familiar. At last the cold is gone. she thought to herself remembering how much harder it was to get up when her joints were locked from the cold. A soft grunt escaped her as she moved to get up, her back bowed towards the ground slightly and her tail hung as if a heavy burden from her rear. For her age she was still pretty in a way though, her feminine characteristics still held. Gauge moved from her resting spot into the warm spring air taking a deep breathe of the dewy air, she had always loved the smell of dirt and dew in the morning.

~Subtle/Humble~
The siblings slept together, Humbles head on Subtles back, as they had always done since the accident. To others their relationship might have been seen as odd, but to the siblings it was their way of coping with the loss. They didn't care how it was seen by the elders it other pack members; it was normal to them. Humble awoke first, as always, and pushed his cold black nose into the creamy fur of his sisters side. The ginger wolf growled lowly and moved her body away from him slightly, it's too early for that Humble, leave me be. she pleaded but it was more a threat than that. Humble grinned and got to his feet, slowly making his way out of the den into the warm morning air. It will be a nice day he thought moving off to the center of camp. Subtle moved slightly, the space where her brother had been now cold. Ugh... she thought, Just a few more minutes.

Insolent

The sun gleamed onto the onyx pelt striped with morning dew and small leaves that had fallen on him during his slumber. He had not yet wanted to open his eyes, enjoying his moment of peace. Well it was once peace. His ears flicked at the sound of movement around the den area and slowly he opened his silvery eyes, catching sight of the ginger and the dark pelted wolf. His teeth bared.. he was usually the first one up. But he sighed, knowing he deserved the sleeping in but he would never do such a thing again. The amount of vulnerability he had brought himself... what was he thinking? Alas, he rose to his large paws, some of the greenery dancing off his not yet fully summer fur. His tail swung upward as he watched them for a moment, the orbs moving to the other dens filled with sleeping canines. At least he wasn't the last one up.

Captive

She yawned and stretched, not yet ready for this day. Her eyes opened into little slits, barely revealing the intense dark brown they held. The brown, she thought, described her innocence, and how she sprouted from that innocence and how being so careless destroyed her innocence. Then she would laugh for thinking everything symbolized something. The cave was warm, the breathing bodies still lay asleep. She knew if she drifted from them, she would feel the chilling morning. Of course she felt silly when she remembered that winter was over and she no longer needed to depend on the body heat of others. She laid her head down onto her crystal white paws, the slits closing once more and she breathed out softly. Just a few more minutes.

Astute

He felt the whoosh of cold against his fur, and he let out a groan of annoyance. Opening the eye on ythe side of the missing body heat he sighied, forcing himself to sit up. Though his body still hunched over, and his breath was wheezy. He, though the youngest of the three elders, would seem to a stranger to be the oldest. "Gauge, do you really have to get up so early?" His voice a mixture of a growl and a chuckle. His patchy grey coat thinning out, and he was thankful it was finally spring. The cold winter weather was brutal on his old, creaky bones. Getting fully up, he shook out his head and neck, chasing ripples in his shoulder and chest fur. Walking out to strand beside Gauge, looking out over the other dens.

Valiant & Anemic

The dark liver coat pressed against the white one in the small den were most of the rebels slept. The darker, female, of the two lifted her head, her tongue lolling out from the heat radiating off of her warm brother. "Anemic, get up." She nudged the alibno male with her black and pink nose, her breath stirring his pelt. The male looked up, yawning as he stpopd upon, shaking out his coat. "Valiant, I'll never understand why you insist on being up early." He said groggily through another yawn. Once Valiant was standing and fully awake they walked out, Valiant not seeing her friend Captive yet, so she padded over to her fellow rebel after her brother, greeting Insolent with a head nod. "Morning, Insolent." Anemic said with a smile, chuckling quietly.

~Gauge~
Her left ear twitched as the muscle beneath the folded flap of skin tried to pick up the rustling sounds that were coming from her rear. Gauge sighed softly, remembering the flaw and instead turned her head to gaze upon her leader who was now sitting upright and in what seemed like a very uncomfortable position. His question brought a half smile to her maw, It is wasteful to sleep the day away she said softly, her voice slightly playful. Besides we would look like old crones if we did not awake before the rest of the pack. she stated more seriously as her dome pointed in the direction of the waking members. As he reached her side the warmth of his body sent a slight chill through hers as she realized just how cool the mornings still were.

~Humble~
The dark brute watched from the corners of his amber orbs as the other members started to stir, he wasn't one for much eye contact, since it usually involved talking in some form or another. He sat on his haunches, long spindly legs bending beneath his body as he waited for instruction or word of the rebellion. It didn't feel right that he left his sister out of it but he would rather see her here than out and about in a realm of uncertainty, he could always come back for her though. Or was that wrong of him? To leave her here while he ran off, possibly to never see her again. Ebony ears swirled backward to lay softly on his large dome as he thought about her possibly losing another family member. The dark stag sat in silence as he brooded over his decision, for the thousandth time.

Insolent

"Morning," the dark brute muttered to the weaker male, a smirk on his face. No need to be nice... Well there was. Beneath all the cold and darkness, he pitied the wolves that were less superior. Besides he mustn't ruin his chances with a pack seemingly strong enough for his liking. He grew taller on his feet as his gaze fell from Anemic and Valiant, his leader and favorite member within the pack. He flicked his ears back, seeing the gray she wolf exit the den and grunted.

Captive

Hearing the wolves speak energized her to get up herself. At least she would be able to challenge the day with some help. She waltzed out of her cave, the light greys within her coat shimmering a summer gleam. She was surprised by the welcoming sun and continued forward without hesitation, the rays instantly melting into her back. Now she just needed to strip herself from this winter coat. Dark optics looked around at the quite cheery morning until they landed on her dear friend Valiant, her brother, and the black male she was least fond of; he never showed signs of liking her. She could admit who would like her once they meet her, but it was as if he hadn't even given her the chance...

Astute

He nodded, sighing as he sat beside the aged fae. "Why do you think of all those youngin's, the rebellious ones, all being up so early? Gives me the creeps." He whiserd more quietly to her, knowing the others already couldn't hear his hoarse tone, but wanted to be extremely careful when speaking of the rebels. They were enough trouble without being provoked. His bones ached as he subconsciously hunched over again, his shoulders and neck almost even, his ears lazily flicked back.

Valiant

Golden-amber orbs flicked from Insolent too her brother, than to Humble, before the finally rested on Captive. She, even as conceited as she was, had to admit that Captive was, well, captivating. " Captive, had a good nights sleep I see. As usual. Any thoughts still on joining us?" That was the downfall of the she-wolf, at least in Valiant's opinion, she wasmnt on the same side. Of course, she had no reason to be, unlike Valiant who wanted to defend her brother's pride. Sitting down beside Anemic, Valiant held her tail high, and her head higher. The look of what other pack's called an Alpha. But their pack possessed no such thing. That reminded her, her gazed and ears flicked to the two woken elders. They were odd, stuck in the old ways, refusing to change the customs of the pack.

Anemic

He smiled to Insolent, ignoring the obviousness of the black male's disliking for the weaker, smaller, paler wolf. He stood, trotting over to Humble. He fairly enjoyed the company of the brute, he was a good friend, though Anemic wasn't sure Humble thought thew same about him. "Hello, Humble! Good morning!" The white brute yipped happily, wagging his tail as he greeted the other male. Anemic was still such a pup, even though he was the same age as his much more mature and somber sister.

Graceful

The young, majestic wolf started to wake. The sun was rising and the warm rays of light peeked into the cave and hit her fluffy body, making her eyes turn reddish from having them closed. She opened them slightly and fell into reality. She had been in a deep sleep, and had one heck of a dream. She yawned and slowly used the cave wall to help her up. Graceful yawned once again, chuckled, and stretched her back legs. She finally stood straight up and looked out of the den, searching for her beloved Anemic. The young male always made her happier. She looked back into the den, which was full of emptiness, and herself. She sighed and stepped slowly out of the den. She was the only one who was carrying pups, and it got cold and lonely at night. One of the things Graceful did not like was being alone. She sat outside the den, still a little clueless of her surroundings from getting up. Graceful decided to wait until Anemic came out of his den.

Silence
Silence's blue orbs lay, as always, wide open. He couldn't sleep all night. Well, he would fall asleep here and there at times, but never proceeded to remain asleep. The sun was rising, and he knew it was about time to wake up. He stood up and wobbled, using the wall to keep him on his feet. Silence walked out of the cave. There was no point of stopping to socialize, or stopping to go back to sleep. He kept his eyes open, blinking every once in a while. He was hungry, and wouldn't of mind going on a hunting patrol, but didn't want to go out at the moment. So, he walked to a near by tree and laid near it.

Captive

She made her way over, sitting near her friend and sighed, "It's really not my place, you know?" Was all she could really say. She didn't much care for the rules and such. She did understand Valiant's reason and she admitted it was a good one. Maybe when the time came she would join their side just because she had nothing netter to do. Until then she much rather continue life normally in the pack. She gave Valiant a reassuring smile but she was sure Valiant knew how selfish she was being. She turned to watch Anemic leave to speak to the other lad she didn't quite know... she never really tried to get to know the rest. They were all just apart of the pack but nothing she would consider family.

(I am so sorry. I thought I posted yesterday, but I guess not. Here, I will post what I am pretty sure I said. And, because Graceful just got up and is very tired, she did not know Anemic was awake.)
Graceful
The beautiful she wolf rose her head after almost falling asleep again. She needed to wake up, so she shook her head. She looked over at Anemic's cave and saw movement. She smiled, noticing that he was most likely awake. She slowly got up and walked forward to his den. He wasn't there. She thought for a moment, where could he be? Graceful looked around, and finally saw him talking to Humble. She smiled and padded over to him. She smiled and nudged him, trying not to interrupt his conversation, but still showing lots of affection. She loved him so much.

Silence
Silence looked off in the distance. It was normal as always. Trees, flowers, grass, water, nothing new. He sighed, knowing there was nothing worth doing. He looked back at the dens. He had just walked out of the working adults den, and thought. He was in the mood for a females attention, but he didn't bother to get up. There were no females that were worth it. He thought.... Valient? Nah, she is too into the whole rebellion thing... does it even matter? Gauge? No, she seems a little too old... Captive... hmm, I never really knew her. She is distant. Who cares anyway. He stood up and walked to the stream. It was cold, and very refreshing. He fell into a quick land that was nothing but imagination, ignoring his surroundings, including the birds singing.

~Gauge~
The slowly greying fae chuckled at his comment, And here for a moment I had thought nothing gave you the creeps Astute. A genuine smile crossed her maw as she once more gazed upon the rapidly aging brute then faded as thoughts began to run through her mind. Thoughts of throwing away the old rules and starting over with a clean slate. Astute would never agree to this though. Would he be open to at least attempting a truce with the rebellious members, to quell their displeasure some? And if not, how long would it be before the three of them were on their own, left to the wilds because they refused to give up a way of life that now seemed silly to the wine hued fae. She sighed softly and returned a worried gaze upon the pack, her heart hoping that one or the other would come soon. At least then she would know of her fate.

~Humble~
As the white stag approached, Humble's head dropped to his chest and the tip of his tail waged stiffly. It was not a threatening look, but one a much smaller animal might take on in submission instead of some lanky wolf. Humble never had any problems with the oddly colored brute, he just had problems in general. Hey Anemic the dark stag spoke quickly, a forced smile edging around his mouth. A figure moved from behind him and all of a sudden Graceful was by his side. His body was nearly stone and his mouth had gone dry. He was nervous, but didn't mind the company really, he just wished that his sister was there, her presence had always made him feel more relaxed.

~Subtle~
Ugh... the ginger wolf rolled to her side lazily, one sky blue orb sneaking a peek at her surroundings. Why does everyone have to get up to early? she grunted she she lifted her frame off the ground and trotted to the center of camp, eyes still squinting from not being accustomed to the light. The rebels were off in one corner and the elders seemed to be up as well, and ever watchful. It was eerie almost and the hairs at the back of her neck stiffened slightly. Don't let them get to you. the ginger shook her coat and eyed the camp once more, her gaze falling onher older brother.... with the lead rebels brother. Who does this guy think he is? And that pregnant one, those pups aren't even his! Humble would never join them anyway. A confident trot took over her chassis as she made her way towards the two brutes and single femme. Good morning Humble she walked up to her brother and licked under his chin, he always has his head down, hes going to look like Astute in a few years. Anemic, Graceful. she said as she turned her gaze to the white wolf.

~Humble~
Her presence instantly put him at ease, it was as if the lead weights binding his muscles in place were lifted. Amber pools looked to the stag full of remorse for his sisters less than dainty greeting.

Anemic

When his mate was by his side, though it seemed impossible, he brightened with more happiness. Feeling her muzzle in his pelt asemnt warm shivers thorought him. Licking her heavy belly he stepped closer to her. And then they were joined by Subtle, the russet she-wolf who seemed to take the role of Valiant when it came to being around the back; protective over her brother, and a bit grouchy. "Morning Subtle." He said with a light nod, his smile not moving from his white muzzle, tail wagging, though at a much slower and safer pace now.

Astute
The old male snorted to Gauge, studying her when she grew silent. He often wondered what the older yet less aged female thought about when she wasn't speaking, her being his favorite of the elders, and if he had to admit it, the pack. 'Nothing scares me, it's like that time when I had a severe injuring to my muzzle. Didn't scare me, just creeped me out to see my reflection until it was better." He stated blatantly. His dull eyes friend away from the female and to the nosy words drifting from the small group of four, Anemic, Graceful, Subtle, and Humble.

Valiant

The dark she-wolf nodded, though she was obviously a bit discouraged. "Well, shall we go hunting?" She offered, seeing Anemic was getting his morning off good. "Graceful is getting awful big, don't you think, Captive? She'll pop any day now, poor Anemic won't know what to do." She said with a chuckle, though she was genuinely worried for her brother and how he would get along with his Granny mate when she wasn't so fitting to her name as a nursing mother.
