_________

Druid master Ebonith was waiting outside the school's entrance by the unicorn water fountain. The school was all cobblestone with black roofing. The campus was surrounded by a large forest, and fields and this place looked to be more alive than some of the places the students would of traveled through to get here. Some wild animals could be seen around the campus as well, rabbits grazing in the flowery fields, deer grazing at the tree edge and birds singing all around. Despite the fact that there is a shortage of druids there was some training in the fields together using elemental magic. Such as snapping fingers and lighting fires on campfire spots, or throwing water in the air and freezing it, etc.

Dianthe
"Goodbye, love," Sarai said as Di hugged her goodbye. "We'll miss you, but do well. Write us once and awhile, yes?" Dianthe nodded. "I will. I'll really miss you, Sarai. Thank you for everything." With that, the girl turned to leave. Sarai smiled, albeit a little sadly. "She's getting all grown up, Aaron," she said go her husband as they watched their surrogate daughter headed down the road, toward new horizons.

It took an hour or three for Dianthe to get to the school. Not many people were on the road this early, and Di half wished that she were back home, setting up their market stall for the day. The campus looked fancy and imposing, and not homely in the least. "What am I doing here?" she asked herself as she stood outside the gate.

Ash

Ash beamed as she finally saw the academy. Clutching the half-chewed message in one hand, and her arm draped protectively over the knapsack which contained a large, white goose, she strode in, her shoulders hunching forward as usual.
"I hope they'll let me get the rest of your friends," She murmured softly to the goose. "But I think it looks uptight. They should be good for food and water for about a week, and hopefully my charms were good enough…" Ash stopped talking to the goose as soon as she realized someone else not too far away.

Eydis

"This is what I've always dreamed of," whispered Eydis under her breath as she quietly stepped towards the school. She had already grown tired of walking for so long and was glad to get a glimpse of a building through the trees. She studied the schoolhouse from afar - she could almost feel the roughness of its cobblestone walls underneath her fingertips and the dark roof under her feet, still warm from the sun. But she felt something else as well. Now that the moment she had been waiting for since she first learned about druids was finally here, she was afraid. She couldn't quite understand what caused it. Was it the fact she had never been this far from home? Or just the excitement of upcoming challenges? Then she noticed the vast forest which seemed to hold the campus in its loving embrace, spreading its arms around it as a protection against all evil. She had always found comfort in forests, that's where she felt utterly safe. Suddenly her mind was calm, empty of all thoughts. A big smile made its way onto her face, she quickened her pace and waved to the few figures standing near the school.

Mikaere
He tuned out his parent's enthusiastic chatter as the trio got closer and closer to their destination - the school where Mikaere would be studying to become a druid. The group was forced to a halt as Mikaere's mother got snagged up in branch by her draping outfit. Mikaere briefly recalled how his parents had tried to get him to wear the traditional garb as well. His ripped jeans and t-shirt attested to their failure to convince him. Frankly, his outfits had been much more practical for the trip. They'd been traveling for a few days now, and this wasn't the first time they'd had to stop for this sort of thing. Ten minutes later, having started walking once again, Mikaere noticed the trees thinning somewhat. He stopped, turning to his parents. Whatever his father had been in the middle of saying was cut off when Mikaere said, "I think I'll be fine on my own from here on." The two adults gawked at him a moment, then predictably tried to argue about it. Mikaere sighed. "Look, I don't want to be escorted to the school. I'd like at least some peace and quiet to prepare myself and reflect before I arrive." He finally received their consent after a bit of bargaining. They said goodbye, his mother giving him a hug, and then he watched as they turned around and left. Satisfied that they would indeed head back for their home, Mikaere continued toward the school. It didn't take long before he could see bits of the gates through the trees.

Ebonith continued to wait by the unicorn fountain directly in front of the academy around the circular pathway. He paced, but his energy was calm. It could be safely assumed he just doesn't like standing in one location for too long. He saw some students walking up in the distance and he awaited them. He was dressed in his normal attire and his eyes bright red, even underneath the hood he had up. (this is what he looks like)

@Bandit: The gates opened before Dianthe and there seemed to be a welcoming energy presence that surrounded the area after the gate was open. On the other side of the gate and cobblestone wall the fields and pathway looked much greener than the outside of the walls from which she came. Animal sounds were much livelier and that same welcoming energy now projected more of a feeling of an invite in before the energy faded away.

@Kaiva: The students not far away from Ash had stopped practicing their elemental magic and looked to her as she approached and threw up their hands and waved to her politely with smiles before turning back to each other and practicing again. They were creating little ice roses in the palms of their hands and having the other one melt it with fire. There was a welcoming energy surrounding the area she walked.

@Akvelins: The students nearby saw Eydis waving to them and waved in return and smiling brightly. They seemed genuinely happy that there were new students coming in. They continued to practice their elemental magic together by taking turns forming ice roses and having the other melt it with fire. Sometimes they would switch things up and create tiny fireballs, or blow little ice petals around in a circle on the ground.

@Oswin: The gates were already open by the time Mikaere had gotten near. The same welcoming presence that invited the others in had begun to emerge through the gates to welcome Mikaere. It's energy flowing through a few feet out from the gate entrance.

Flora

Approaching the academy, her whole body trembled with fright. She had been waiting for this her whole life...and now the moment was coming. Clutching her bag of belongings, she advanced forward, head down and shy as she always was.

Glancing around, she murmured, "Oh...this is just so, magical!" It was just like she imagined with different beings of every kind. Yet now that she was here, she started worrying if she will be accepted by her peers. Taking a deep breath, however, she bravely walked forward to the entrance.

@SewingGirl: The same energy that had been welcoming to the others who had arrived surrounded Flora with a welcoming energy as well. This time though, was a little different. Light winds blew around her and made little dust bunnies on the dirt pathway and light cloved-hoof prints could be seen in the dirt leading to and from the entrance of the school that were appearing and shortly after disappearing.

Mikaere
He paused just inside the gates, catching sight of the animals scattered around the campus. Mikaere took a moment just to watch the deer a little ways off, glancing briefly at the rabbits afterward. The forest surrounding the school already gave him hope this was a good decision on his part. Mikaere noticed the unicorn fountain, and more importantly the figure standing there. He got the vibe he was supposed to head that way, considering it was right down the path, so he did.

Rosemary

Rosemary walked up the dirt walkway, late again. She always seemed to be late to everything. Oh well she sighed, at least its only the first day. She was so busy worrying that she didn't even notice the beauty of this new place. She saw the druid master and got even more nervous. She headed towards him and finally took notice of the beautiful forests and the cute little bunnies. She was even more awestruck by the glistening unicorn fountain that was proudly placed in the center of the pathway.

Dianthe
Suddenly, the place seemed a lot more friendly, which ironically set Dianthe more on edge. She had never been around much magic before that she knew of, if at all, and it was quite a daunting prospect. She squared her shoulders, took a breath, and started down the path.

Ash

Ash stopped to stare at the magic happening right before her eyes. Sure, she was a witch, but not a very good one. She could only do little spells, such as making sure that animals wouldn't eat the garden and finding good mushrooms.
Sun popped his head up and peeped. Ash hushed him and walked past the practicing students, gently talking to Sun how he must be silent.

July
Panting, she burst from the forest at the edge of the path, spinning around once she was free of the thorny brush to make sure the beast was no longer following her. She breathed a sigh of relief once she determined that the rabid unicorn was in fact lost from her, and, turning back around, began making her way down the path that she had been told by some semi-locals would lead her to the school.
Sure enough, about twenty minutes later she could see the front gates up ahead of her, as well as a few different paths all leading up to them - alternate routes. July jogged the rest of the way to the gates, then seeing that some others were just ahead of her and had already entered. Cautiously, she took a step forward, cautious not because she was scared but because she didn't have any idea what to expect.

The same welcoming presence surrounded itself around July when she got close to the gates. The students that had been practicing their magic now made their way back to campus dorms when a bell chimed, talking to each other as they left. Ebonith waited patiently for all the students to come by the unicorn fountain to greet them. Still pacing his slow back and forth pace as he watched, obviously studying each students as they made their way up towards him.

Mikaere
Mikaere finally reached the fountain where Ebonith paced, and gave the other elf a subtle nod in greeting. From here he could see others making their way to the fountain. Since he was one of the first to arrive, he took a moment to better study the grounds that were laid out around him. What had been full of students before was now empty, giving him a better view of the features of the school.
