problem: I found a horse with amazing stats but too many stats that are not in the specialty I would like. His base stats are about half (in non specialty stats) as they are now. I think the owner might have fed him treats that give out a random increase in stats. He is already in western and that's where i would like to keep him. I know other players who thought the tears got converted to the discipline when the foal turned three....but they do not. Now we must pay 10000 to convert to lets say dressage and then 2evc to convert back to western to fix the problem.

solution: I think that we should be able to convert a horse to the discipline it is already in, in order to take those non specialty stats and make them go to the western discipline. I would gladly pay 10k and have it say I converted it once to get the horses non specialty stats down lower. Just a thought :)

This removes the associated benefit of converting training at all in my mind.

why not add a retrain option instead?
It would maybe cost 5k and give the opportunity to redestribute the stats without changing the specialty.

i'd support a retrain type option, but i think it should
be more expensive than the current conversion options.

maybe the cost of the retraining be based on its age? if you retrain it at three because you accidentally hit dressage thinking it was the foal training button it would cost 3,000 but if you are retraining it at 20 years it would cost 20,000. I'm not sure if that would be easy to implement but its a thought? This also makes it more viable to use multi-stat treats and would allow players to have a more custom training regiment. Maybe one trainer would feed haycubes till age 5 while another would feed till age 10. And I also think its a bit more realistic too rather than just have a horse treated and trained in I don't know lets say the racing discipline and then all of a sudden at age 20 it excels at the western discipline. Don't get me wrong I love the ability to change a horses discipline and the price of the conversions is quite reasonable, I just think that the retraining idea is more realistic. I think bare minimum that would make me happy is just be able to convert to the same discipline.

Another idea that I just thought of that may make it easier to implement. What if at the training center you have the basic training, the type of training we do now, then like advanced re-training or something like that. You would pick the horse you would want to do advanced training with and train it in its current discipline and it would take a certain amount of non-discipline stat points and move it to the appropriate stats. Basically the same way converting works but on a lesser scale making you have to retrain the horse more depending on how many non-disc stats it has. Again just a thought but don't know if its a good one.

I was actually just thinking of a feature where we could retrain horses once we buy them.

So maybe this feature could only be used within 1 hr/day/ certain amoint of time of purchasing a horse

If this is added, this means that players that have worked hard for their low-non-speciality stats will have all their work wasted. I don't support, sorry :(
