Push to revive Equiverse?

Hello again friends!

Nev back again to post another thread! This time, though, I want to bring up my love for this site and hope that maybe EV will be a well deserved revive. From my experience of this site - old and new - it is much more of a quiet and open place than some other sites I've been apart of. The mods seem so much more understanding and compassionate, the art has more freedom here to share and you don't feel as confined to one side or the other. Clubs are pretty welcoming as well as share so much insight that I never knew before (who knew a coding club could teach you so much, huh?) I even dreamed of being an artist for this site because I was obsessed with horses and it pushed me to become a better illustrator just on that idea alone.

It saddens me to see less activity on this site than before and I remember a time when this place was bustling with new faces and veterans of the EV verse. I really hope this can help spur a second hayday for this sight because boy, do I adore this site. Feel free to leave your good memories and best achievments below. I really want to hear them.

I started on EV when it first came about way back when...but took an 8 year break before coming back in November 2017. I came back and it was a much needed refuge from real life for me. At a time when my dad was sick and I was one of his two primary caregivers while also being a newlywed and taking care of 3 kids. I guess my favorite thing about this game is that I have met so many amazing people that I now consider my friends. 

I also love the clubs, showing, and my beautiful Gypsy Vanners.

I started playing EV when I was 10, so I don't remember much of my time here - except for when I'd forget to log in and all my horses would be dead (this was pre-recode). Sad times lol! I randomly remembered this game a month ago and logged back in to play for the nostalgia. I now have 430 Gypsy Vanners, which in retrospect wasn't the smartest idea because it now takes me a really long time to train/show/riding school everyone. Looking forward to the new memories I'll make - particularly when my next gen comes around and I have half as many horses to look after :)

I love this game so much. On October 30th; I'll been an member for 14 years! Except for a few hiatus here and there because of my mental health; I've consistently been playing. My herds are physical proof of that claim. 😍

I started in 2011 (under another name, maybe Csylla91 or Scheila, I can't remember) - oh my, I've just realized that in August 13th it was my 11th Equiversary! Such a long time!

For me, EV has been always a great place to let off steam and relax, I really enjoy the atmosphere and the game itself. I love this site. I'm still becoming nostalgic if I see any old breed art, lol. 

Although I concentrated on stats only before recode, now I enjoy the advantages of complex gameplay (confo, NSS and stats, I mean). I love challenges! I'm only sorry that I didn't keep my herds after recode, I miss those lines so much, especially my Thoroughbreds. But I hope my new herds will make great horses (and fill the void in my heart for the old ones), I'm glad to see their continuous improvement.

I definitely agree.

I’ve been playing since roughly 2012, before lots of new art, when there were many old breeds (Fjords!), and before the recode. There are so many artists I remember looking up to as a little 12/13 year old who aren’t around anymore and it does sadden me lots. But there used to be SO much activity! I do hope Equiverse becomes what it once was again as no matter how many times I stop playing (I even went about a year feeling like I “didn’t want to play” and STILL came back), I always find myself back to this game. 

I recently just had my 3 year anniversary on EV, and I wouldn't change a thing. This game is so supportive and friendly that we're just one big family! I remember EV was a lot more alive when I joined and since then it's declined. It's saddens me every single day. I miss my old friends even though we had our ups and downs. I'm so thankful that I found this amazing game, and continue to play. It also makes me happier when I see older players coming back! I look up to all the great EV artists and they are the ones that inspire me, and helped me to start my dream of becoming a digital artist. I may not be the best, but there's a lot of room for improvement over the years. EV means a lot to me, and so do all of my friends. I really hope EV goes back to it's former glory ♥

Thank you all for sharing your amazing memories here! Just makes me more hopeful for a revival of this amazing game! You all really seem incredible, truly. I feel lucky to be apart of this community and I'm glad I keep coming back to this site. Please, continue to share and chat here! There is still hope to spark something from this the more we share and walk down memory lane.

I really hope to see a lot more activity in the future of this game! 

I think the game has been buzzing a little better recently which gives me hope.  We all love this game and I think if we keep staying active and encouraging the new members that come along (and maybe do some more advertising for new members), hopefully we can get through the lull! EDIT: Just a note that the Discord seems to be more active/popular than the forums for those who have not joined us over there yet.

I didn't know ev had a discord server, but I don't have discord...

I love this game too! I found it randomly in 2009 and joined. I've been on and off it since then and have dappled in a number of breeds over the years. I have now found myself with a whole lot of Quarter Horses and some Trakehners, and just started a with some foundation Dutch Warmbloods. life has gotten insanely busy this last month with my works busy time hitting and me working on a career change to go from a dog groomer to a programmer. I love having EV around to just escape from life and the stress of it.
I'm terrible at selling horses so i just end up collecting them lol

I've just bred with witches' brew and I got a sickly foal which has much lower conformation than its parents. And I just remembered that before recode there were players whose aim were to breed down conformation to zero points? :D Haha, I forgot this totally.

^^ I've thought about trying to breed down conformation before when I've gotten really bad confo horses from the EC!

I remember there being a zero stats horses project at some point, I think the lowest I saw was 3 total.
