Conformation stats

Hi all, just a query, why do some foundation horses have very high conformation stats, perfect and excellent' that I've seen in the game in other  players stables but all the foundation horses I buy have much lower stats mostly 'good or poor'. Unless I design a horse that usually has all good with average stats of 60-69? Thanks just trying to understand. 

Those horses with high overall conformation stats are coming before the recode of the game - then it was possible to get horses like that from the store. Now the conformation stats for those coming from the store are much lower and you can only breed towards those high conformations.
