New Player Program ISO suggestions and ideas

For some time now I have been trying to come up with a self funded and run program to help out new players get into the game with a little more ease. Hopefully keeping new players around to get into the game without giving up hope and feeling like they will never be able to "catch up" with other players. 

I am in need of suggestions for this. I plan to have several packages available to players depending on how long they have been playing and their current needs. I have one package started but could use ideas for more things to implement into this program that will work and really help out new players.
