Heatwave and Horse Shows!

I was wondering, Do you guys do horse shows or do you cancel, for the safety of you and the horse or do you go through with it?

If you do cancel, What is the penalty fee?

When I used to have competitions about 4 or 5 years ago I'm pretty sure we only canceled if it rained too much. Though we were in Southern California, so the heat was there everyday and we hardly got rain. Although when we did get rain it was often enough to make the arena unsafe, so we either postponed or canceled the monthly competitions. I did gymkhana and was in a gymkhana club so every month on the 3rd Saturday we would have a competition.
