private breeding problem

I sent a request for private breeding before Cron had run and it was accepted after Cron, yet it shows (contrary to the truth) that my mare was bred yesterday. As a result my foal lost one day of care, because he was born (after Cron) with "ages in 6 days" note.
Is it a conscious choice of game setting, which I was unaware of..... :( .....or is it a bug ????

It's not a bug. 

Looking at the records, the request was accepted at 4:33am. The foal aged (and mare countdown gained 1 day) because you progressed at 4:35am after he was born. 

Just bad timing unfortunately. 

Yes, extremely bad timing indeed...
I always find private breedings a very stressful business... You never know when the request gets accepted, especially if it's mare's last day before retiring...
I would be much happier if accepting a breeding request had the same safeguard as sending a horse to another account: you cannot send a horse to an account which hasn't progressed yet. So it would be better if you couldn't accept the request before another account progresses too.
Then predicaments like mine wouldn't be happening....

You could always make a suggestion. Or in the future try to arrange a time that would be suitable for both of you to be online. It looks like you sent the request quite late at night compared to when both you and the player in question are active.
