Image resizing issue

I’ve been trying to use the add image option when creating forum posts, and it gives the option to add dimensions. I tried setting one of my images (originally 1000 pixels in width) to be 200 pixels, and it looks good on the preview, but when I actually edit the post it displays full size. The code even says 200 width. Is there a way to fix this?
