Please can someone explain in layman's terms why this pony is white as I do not understand much about genetics. Reading the technical info does not always equate with comprehension.

Does this also make her a bad breeding prospect with her being white?

The W in her kit gene(W+) is what is making her white. White is considered a marking in this game and not her actual color which is why her base color, Chestnut, is displayed as the color name with (white) in parenthesis.

This doesn't make her a bad breeding prospect unless you don't like white and plan to breed for color. White, like grey covers the base colors of a horse, so some people consider it undesirable. You can remove it with the marking applicator/randomizer I believe.

Hope that all makes sense, please ask if you have further questions.
