Emma
"Almost. It's been really hard with her being ill, and this is her first time. The vet said everything was going perfectly with the pregnancy as of right now." said Emma as she pet Fay up and down her face. Emma felt a lot better now that Fay had been doing better. "I can't wait to start riding her cause no offense to Monica, but Fay here is better to ride." Emma said with a laugh. Emma's attention went somewhere else as she heard the sound of a dog coming. "There he is. That's Dozer. He's a handful, and he goes in the pond a lot."

Dozer
Dozer had smelt another dog, and followed the scent. There was a new dog. Dozer quickly ran over to the dog almost running right over them hence the name. He met the new comer, and introduced himself then noticed Fay. "You seem to be doing a lot better."

Fay
"Yes I am. I don't know what the vet did, but it helped a lot. Hopefully I'll be out of here by tomorrow." she said with some joy back in her voice. Her mood had improved, and she was getting stronger, she was eating and drinking, and she was getting energetic. "I'm ready to get out of here."

William Davis
William walked in, "How's she doing?" Emma had a conversation with William telling him everything the vet had said. Eventually William said to bring Fay back out to the pasture. Emma was so happy, and so was Fay.

Theresa
Theresa hesitated, unsure of what to do. The new mare still had to get used to her surroundings before she could be ridden. She waited until William was done talking with Emma, and then walked up to him.
"So where should I put all of my things?" Theresa gestured to her small car, which looked even worse than she remembered it. She should really get a new car.

William Davis
"I think it's safe to say, Fay can go back in the pasture. She's still quite weak and underweight, but she'll be fine. I'm sure she's ready to be out of here." he said with a smile on his face as he gave Fay a quick pat. While Emma was grabbing Fay's halter to bring her out to the pasture William helped Theresa with her things. "I'll bring you to where your room is, and help with your things. Once your settled your more than welcome to bring Birdie out to the pasture as well. I'm sure she'll need to stretch her legs, and she'll be fine since she was vaccinated against EI, thankfully."

Emma
Emma quickly grabbed Fay's halter and lead rope, and opened the stall door. "Come on girl, you get to be with your friends again," she said very happily. Emma felt a lot better now that Fay and the baby were doing well again, and wondered what it was the vet gave Fay. It didn't matter all that did was that she was better, and that the foal was healthy.

Fay
Was she actually going back out to the pasture after spending a whole week in a stall all by herself? Fay was very excited, though she was still very weak. She also had to gain weight to bring her back to her normal weight to make sure the foal would stay healthy. Once Fay was in the pasture, no one had noticed she was back. Esprit, Monica, and Trucker weren't paying attention to anything. But why though? Esprit always knows what's happening, and yet nothing. Fay slowly walked over to some of her other friends, but they walked away before she got close. She gave out a sigh and walked back the corner she always went to located near the stallion pasture as Trucker still didn't notice her.

Theresa
Theresa quickly set down all of her things - mostly dog food or horse items - and smiled at William
"Thank you for your help! I guess I'll go try out the new mare now? What's her name again?" She asked, as she began to runmage around for her helmet---brand new. After the accident, she had been for ed to get a new helmet, her old one had been destroyed beyond use. Theresa quickly shivered as bad memories resurfaced, then refocused on William again.

Georgie
Georgie trotted around the new farm happily, a large, happy dog grin on his face. He had a beautiful tennis ball he had stolen from someone, and it was just the greatest toy ever. He explored the ranch, smelling new scents and looking for new friends.

William
"Sure. Her names Birdie, and when your done with her you can place her in the mare pasture. If you need any help look for Emma. She's around here somewhere." he said, "Now I should go get some paperwork done in my office. I'll be there if you need me." he said before walking away.

Dozer
Dozer was running around all over the place like always when he noticed a newcomer. Maybe another dog that likes to swim, and chase animals through the woods. He quickly ran over to the newcomer almost running right into him hence the name Dozer. "I'm Dozer, you must be new. You wanna go chase some rabbits through the woods?" he said fairly quick as he jumped around with never ending energy.

Emma
Emma was by the mare pasture as Fay slowly walked over to her. "How you doing girl? Your friends ignoring ya?," she said a bit sad feeling bad for the mare. She pet Fay and had a small smile. Fay gave Emma a hug, and Emma left to go do some chores. Fay went back to her spot, and laid down over by Trucker's pasture.

Theresa
Theresa quickly put on her tall boots, grumbling a bit to herself as she tried to wedge her talk boots over her jeans. She should have planned better and bought cowboy boots. Grabbing her helmet, she walked out to the barn where the new mare was. Birdie was angrily eating her hay, her tail swishing. Theresa laughed, and then quickly slipped Birdie's halter over the mare's head.
A box of brushes was next to Birdie's stall, with the faint inscription of "B r e," the letters likely worn away with time. Theresa began to brush the mare, taking time to properly meet her. She hadn't been on a horse since the accident, although Theresa tried hard to push the memories out of her head.

Georgie
Georgie's tail wagged quickly, and he carefully set down the stolen ball.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" He barked, wiggling his body as he couldn't contain his excitement. "I love to swim! Is there water here?"

Emma
Emma walked into the barn seeing Theresa. She walked to Monica's stall, and grabbed her halter and lead rope from the stall door. After opening the door, she placed the halter on Monica, and attached the lead rope. "Come on girl let's go do some work." she said leading Monica out of her stall. When Emma came by Theresa she saw something might of been troubling her. "You alright? You seem like something wrong or something is bothering you." she asked a bit worried.

Monica
Monica thought Emma was acting different. Like she was more herself. Though, Emma didn't start acting weird until Fay got sick. That's when it clicked. Monica knew Emma wouldn't act normal if Fay wasn't better, so could that mean... When Emma stopped to talk to Theresa, Monica looked outside at the pasture. She saw a horse laying down in a corner, it took her a minute to realize who it was. Fay! Monica got excited to go see her friend, but realized Emma was taking her out to train no to the pasture. With that, Monica gave a snort.

Dozer
Dozer gave a smile, and quickly ran to the pond splashing in. He practically at one with the water. He could be in there all day, and it would be nice to finally have someone to go swimming with.

Theresa
Theresa jumped at the sound of Emma's voice. She wasn't expecting another person to sneak up on her. She shrugged.
"Oh, you know, just getting to meet her. She seems like a very nice mare," Theresa said, trying to downplay her fear. This wasn't right! She was a star in eventing, being scared of a little horse was not alright for her career. And yet, even as Theresa spoke, she couldn't stop the memory of the fall, of Cigarette falling, sacrificing herself to save Theresa. Theresa's hand trembled slightly, and she abruptly turned to begin brushing Birdie once more.

Birdie
Birdie stiffened as she felt the woman beside her get sad. Was she alright? Birdie didn't know what to think as the woman began to brush her again, although this time it felt more nervous rather than confident.

Georgie
Georgie quickly grabbed his ball and raced after Dozer. He leaped into the pond without a second thought and began to splash and paddle and swim all around in the water.
"Wow! This is so much fun! This place is so cool!" Georgie shouted, keeping an eye on his precious ball as he dropped it yet again.

Emma
"I didn't mean to startle you. You just seemed like you were troubled about something, but if you ever need to talk I'll more than likely be keeping an eye on Fay." she said knowing Theresa wasn't alright, but didn't push the newcomer and kept to herself. "Come on girl, let's go for a ride. I'll see you later than," she said as she walked off with Monica a gorgeous appaloosa quarter horse cross tailing behind.
Emma tacked up Monica, and led her to the arena. "Let's do some ground work, then go on a trail ride." she said as she mounted. They started off slow, and gradually did some more intense work. After about an hour or two the horse and rider took a break. Emma tied Monica up for a bit while she told William she was going on a trail ride so someone knew after what happened last time.

Dozer
Dozer was happy to finally have someone else who loved to swim, but sadly he had to get out. He was starting to get tired for once, and shook all the water off his body. He ran around, and occasionally rolled around in the grass and leaves. Soon enough he'd be perfectly dry, it's just part of his breed.

Monica
Monica didn't want to train, she wanted to go see Fay. It's been about a week or two since she last saw her. Without knowing what exactly happened, she was extremely curious. Though, Monica did what Emma wanted. She did want to go on a trail ride though, so when Emma mounted once again, she was a bit more energetic.

Emma
"We better hurry it'll be dark within an hour or so," she said as she urged Monica into a gallop. Within about 45 minutes later, it was almost completely dark. "Let's start heading back, we just have to follow the trail, and with the moonlight it shouldn't be the hard. She turned the mare the other way, and started heading back. It was a slow and easy trail ride, but it wouldn't be for long. Monica ended up spooking shortly after, and that's when Emma heard growling and saw eyes staring the horse and rider down like prey. Wolves. Emma urged Monica into a gallop as fast as she could.
The pack of wolves were right behind them when one jumped up onto Monica. She bucked and Emma fell off Monica. The mare galloped off, while Emma was knocked unconscious with wolves circling around her.

Monica
Monica galloped home as fast as she could neighing loudly frightened still having some of the wolves trailing behind her. William ran outside with his rifle. He gave a few shots scaring the wolves off. He ran to the mare trying to calm her when he realized there was no sign of Emma. He looked around and started yelling, "EMMA!! Emma! Someone go tack up my horse! Quickly!" he yelled.

Sorry for the long post, sometimes I get a bit carried away lol

Theresa
Theresa waited until she was fully calmed down until she brought Birdie into the arena. She had to make sure her negative emotions would not affect the mare, especially on the first ride. After that, the ride was a dream. Birdie had nice, easy transitions, and flawless circles. She moved off of leg, pushed from behind, and used her back properly. She did try bucking while going into the canter, but all Theresa had to do was lift up the mare's head and nudge her forward. After an excellent ride, she slowly cooled out Birdie, then hopped off.
"Good girl," She told Birdie softly as she offered a few treats to the mare. Birdie sighed and ate her treats eagerly. Her chest was covered in sweat as Theresa led her back into the barn. Quickly, she untacked Birdie and brushed her again. After looking around, she found an old cooler that fitted Birdie and put it on the mare. She slipped on Birdie's halter and led her out to the mare's paddock, just like William said. No horses were visible in the dim light, but Theresa let Birdie loose in the paddock and laughed as the mare took off galloping.
"Good job today!" She called out, then turned and began to head back to the barn.
All of a sudden, she heard William shouting something frantically and then some gunshots. It sounded as though an emergency had happened.
"What?!" Theresa shouted as she began to run towards the sound. "Which horse?!"

Georgie
Georgie sprawled out happily against his newfound friend. This truly was the life, he thought as he scratched an itch by rolling over on his back. Of course, his lovely stolen ball was still close-by for him to grab if the moment required it.

Birdie
Birdie took off galloping as the woman, Theresa, let her loose in the paddock which smelled like mares. She whinnied frantically.
"Is anyone in here? I want friends!" She called out, unable to see the entire depths of the pasture.

William
Once Monica was calmed down enough he ran while holding the reins, "It's Emma the wolves attacked, and only Monica returned. Take Monica, and I'll go get my horse. As soon as you take care of Monica call 911. I have to go find Emma before it's too late." he said quickly handing the reins to Theresa as he ran into the barn, and quickly tacked up his horse. He raced out of the barn with his rifle, and lantern in hand. "Let's hope we're not too late," he mumbled as his horse raced through the trails. William hoped he would find Emma quickly not knowing where exactly she is, or if she's trying to get back to the ranch on her own. "I can't search for her on my own, she could be anywhere," he said trying to call anyone from the stables. "That's just great no signal. I can't turn back now, so I guess it's just the three of us." he said as his horse huffed and puffed with Dozer racing beside them.

Emma
Emma was still unconscious, and it would be awhile until William would reach her. William didn't know what the situation was, or how he was going to handle it all by himself. He had to try though for Emma's sake. The wolves were still nearby very slowly getting closer to the body laying in the middle of the trail.

Dozer
When Dozer heard everything going on, he raced after William. "Good boy, now try to keep up," William said when he saw the ranch dog racing beside his horse. It was time to do his job on the ranch, but right now was no time for fun and games. He had to stay focused on the mission.

Monica
Monica was still frightened about what had happened, and was concerned about Emma. "I shouldn't have left her out there all alone." Monica blamed herself for everything. Although Monica did have some minor wounds on her hide end. With everything that happened, she listened to the unfamiliar girl.

Theresa
Theresa quickly rubbed down the nervous horse and placed a cooler over the mare. She gave Monica a treat, and then led her out to the mare's pasture. In a flash, she whipped out her phone and dialed 911.
"Hello, 911, how can we help you?" The woman at the other end of the phone answered.
Theresa quickly gave her a short description of what she knew - which wasn't much - and sat down on a hay bale as she waited for the paramedics to arrive.

Monica
Monica trusted the girl, and calmed down more. When Monica was in the pasture, she couldn't help but practically lean against the fence staring into the wilderness blaming herself for everything. With the cooler on, the minor wounds on her hind end stung, but that wasn't important right now. All that was, was Emma. "I shouldn't have left her out there like that. This is all my fault!" she said.

Fay
Fay was still in the pasture when she heard all the commotion, but she didn't quite know what was going on. When Monica was put in the pasture, Fay slowly stood up, and walked up to Monica from behind. "Your bleeding, what happened out there. Where is Emma?," she asked concerned but still had a bit of weakness in her voice.

William
After a bit of searching, William had finally found Emma. Dozer ran up ahead barking and growling loudly, and the hairs on his back rose up. Along with a couple of gunshots from William, the wolves ran off being chased by Dozer a bit. Although Dozer did attack one or two. William quickly dismounted and ran to Emma, who was still unconscious on the ground. William knelt down to check and see if she was still breathing, and slowly picked her up. William had his horse lay down, as he carefully mounted with Emma in his hands. He whistled for Dozer, and carefully started the journey back to the ranch.

Monica
"I-I spooked and left Emma out in the middle of the woods. There were wolves, and one jumped up on me. I-I bucked, and Emma fell off. After that I just ran back here as fast as I could while some of the wolves chased after me. The wounds aren't important right now. This is all my fault." she said not knowing who she was talking to. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have ran off like that. I shouldn't helped Emma and protect her. What-what if she's gone?" she said thinking the worst had happened.

Fay
"It's not your fault Monica. If anything you saved both of you by bucking the wolf off. If you hadn't I'm sure things would be a lot worse." she said trying to make Monica feel better. Fay slowly walked up to Monica and put her muzzle against hers. "William is out looking for her-" Fay paused hearing gun shots way off, "I stand corrected he did find her. See? She'll be OK." said Fay although she didn't know what condition Emma was in.

Theresa
Theresa jumped off the bale as she heard sirens approaching. They turned into the driveway and a man and a woman jumped out.
"Is the woman found yet?" The man asked.
Theresa shook her head. "I don't know. William rode off to find her, but I'm not sure if he has yet. This is my first day here, I have no idea where they could be." She said helplessly, wishing she could provide more information to the medics.

Birdie
Birdie was standing in the corner of the mares paddock when she heard two mares talking further away. She realized one of them was very scared. Birdie decided to stay put. She stood still as the bright flashing lights and loud sounds with the vehicles drove closer to closer. Although she didn't want to admit it, she was scared. The whole farm smelled of fear and Birdie was in a new place, all by herself. Birdie sighed and rested her head on the fence.

Wiliam
William carefully galloped through the trails, and within a few more minutes, they were back at the ranch. "Over here!" he yelled as he saw the flashing lights. His horse carefully slid to a stop, as he carefully dismounted carrying Emma. She was placed in the ambulance, and rushed to the hospital. William stayed behind to take care of his horse, but he would head over there later. "Found her just in time. Is Monica in the pasture? I'll have to call the vet back tomorrow.

Emma
As William was getting close to the ranch, Emma started to gain conscious. She could only see the full moon, and William. She couldn't see much, but after she was in the ambulance, she lost consciousness again. The next morning, Emma woke up in the hospital. "W-where am I? What happened?" she asked not even knowing if anyone was there. Emma had a fractured arm, and some scratches and bruises all over her body with a minor concussion.

Monica
"I guess your right," Monica said realizing who it was she was talking to. "Fay!," she said her mood getting better,"What happened? Where have you been?" she asked feeling better. Monica looked over and saw the flashing lights. As soon as she saw William come over racing, she saw Emma. "She doesn't look so good..." she said worried.

William
Early that morning, William headed to the hospital. He asked for what room Emma was in, and looked for the room. Once he found it, he saw her. Shortly after looking through the window, he walked into the room and sat down. About an hour later she woke up. "The hospital...you had an accident in the trails," he said.
"A-all I remember was that I started heading back. I saw eyes in the darkness, and heard the growls of wolves. I urged Monica into a gallop, when she bucked. After that everything went black." she said slowly trying to remember the events of the night before. Her head hurt, and she looked over seeing her arm in a cast.
