New Andalusian Project

So I'm starting a new foundation stock of Andalusians and decided to theme it after J.R.R. Tolkien's Silmarillion. I am starting with 3 pairs who are named after the first 3 "elf-fathers" awakened. I'm pretty excited, this is my first seriously thought out project. I still need to map the rest of the pedigrees, but this is going to get dense for sure.

I once recreated the entire pedigree of Darco, a famous jumping Belgian Warmblood. Kinda want to do it again, it's a lot of work but so much fun!

I'm genuinely excited. XD I feel like a nerd lol

Ooh I always have such fun coming up with a theme for a pedigree and working out pairings ahead of time :D I'm terrible at naming on the spot so I've been doing it for years now, one of my favorites was my Hawaiian themed like of Tekes :D The first generation was gods/goddess/legends (cause I accidentally bought 64 horses to start with and so had to expand :'D), then waterfalls and flowers were 2nd generation, then I did guys names that start with K for the stallions and girls names that ended with ani for the third generation, islands that make up Hawaii for the fourth, Volcanoes and beaches for the 5th, then I had fun and went with Te Fiti and Hei Hei for the 6th, with the final foal being called Kanaka Maoli. I think bred it into my Nancy Drew line and ended up with Aloha Mystery which is currently locked and waiting for a mate :'D But yeah, minus Te Fiti and Hei Hei (I didn't have a real plan for that generation, think I was gonna do Wiki and Tiki originally), I had it all mapped out when I started the first generation :'D I look forward to seeing your themed line :D

That's really awesome. That had to have been quite the undertaking. Did you do 1 foal per pair? Or were you more open?

lol yeah I started it before the recode in 2016 and it took a bit to get there (locked quite a bit and this current foal has been locked for a bit as well, can't recall when exactly I met it), but worth it :'D

I let them be bred out to up to four foals (counting mine) and would breed them at 19 and 20 in some cases, I don't think I did for the first two generations since it was so overwhelming :'D

That's really awesome. Once I have a better grasp on the pedigree map I'll have a better idea about breeding out, but for now I'm thinking they might need to be kept within the project. There's a lot of elves to cover O_O;

lol I hear yah my lines always seem to give me two problems, one is not enough to name after and two is too many to name after :'D But you've got this and it will be so much fun to watch you do it :D 

Aww thanks :3 I'm really excited. I'm probably going to end up locking different clans of elves as I move through it just so I can keep track XD

There are a few more tweaks I'd like to do to coats before they start makin bebehs, but other than that the crew is coming almost ready.
