Veiwing Shows

Hey guys,

Just curious as to whether there is somewhere you can view shows that your horse didn't place in so you can see where they did come?

Also, I had a horse that didn't place in her shows but got more experience than horses that did? I was sure she would place as she was 1 point off changing grades but she was the only horse in the show when I entered her (there was still heaps of time left for others to enter)- would that have affected it if no one else entered?

Edit: also how much luck is involved in shows? I entered two horses in a race (both between 330-340) and a horse that had 226 (not even sure how they entered the same race because the levels are different) beat them both? My horses also just have foundation NNS, so while not super low, also didn't look like an issue comparing them to the other horses.

Viewing shows- yes, those that have run in the last 90 days at least. You can view all their results on their show results page (click the # # # in the Specialty Information).

Experience is based on number of horses in the class as well as placing, so I would expect horses in small classes to not get as much experience (stats are only awarded if there are more than 5 in a class).

Not sure how much the random component is, but training level also plays a part. So a training level 5 horse is more likely to win than a training level 4 horse and so on.

The shows in question were over a month ago - it just means that your horses have gained stats since and theirs haven't (or not as much). They were all the same level when they entered the show.

Luck decreases the higher the training level, at Novice levels you will see more varied placings as a result of luck- so lower stat horses might sometimes win over a higher stat of horse. In your case Almárë is correct.

THanks!! Haha I should have thought of that!

But the show I was looking at I entered yesterday (well my yesterday)- I definately entered a N5 comp with my 2, I don't understand how a N3 horse raced. I also noticed it happened with another one that I was lookng at yesterday. I'll see if I can post a link :)

That's the link to the show I was reffering too- Beware the Red Head is at N3 around 260-270, and my 2 are the ones that have come in 7th/8th. They were 330-340ish when I enteted them at N5 (they have won other shows since then and obviously increased).

There's a link to another one that I saw- the winning horse is N3 at 211, but I entered a N5 race with a horse that was about 330ish and yet he came last. That is a huge luck factor. Excluding NSS winning horse had about 150 and I had about 250.

That first link says it was N1 Racing and ran on the 19th of August and the second one says N1 Endurance and ran on the 20th of August?
