Showjumping Chincoteague Federation Competition !

The Showjumping Chincoteague Federation is back in business!

We are hosting a train/compete off! It is the middle of August, but waiting isn't fun. So entries will be open from today until the 20th! The end date is October 1st!

This competition is to get more involvement in the club, and raise awareness that Chincoteagues are the bees knees. Which it seems some of you are already aware, and that's awesome! This is the place for you! 

So how does this work? Do I go get a pony and start NOW?

...no.

I will pull ponies tonight (2yr olds), train/treat them appropriately for until the 20th, then fairly distribute them. You WILL get a pair (mare AND stallion). They WILL come with full showjumping appropriate tack, and I will calculate nss for you ahead of time. They will also be enrolled into the club already. You then just need to keep up showing, training, and treating! 

Can I use the riding school?

...no.

This is a competition, your ponies must compete. No exceptions. No mixing either, only shows. 

What if there aren't any shows up?

Doubtful that'll happen as I will create them for you all. On the chance it does occur, let me know and I'll pop some more up or ask others to!

How is winner calculated?

Winners will be calculated by whoever has the highest stat gain for sj + points at the end of the competition. So stats + points will be added for your final total. Winner is by highest total for the PAIR. 

Must I be a member?

Yes. It's non negotiable, join the club. Please. Really, we want you there!

Prizes:

FIRST: 250k + 2 credits + lotsa carrots

SECOND: 200K + lotsa carrots

THIRD: 150K

*ALL participants get $15k at the start

Sounds like fun! I'm actually going to be working with my chincos over the fall so perfect timing. c: If I could get a stallion that would be great.

Everyone will receive both a mare and stallion!
I pulled 10 pairs so hopefully we get to at least 10 entries..lol.
Ponies and the 15k to be sent out in the 20th together. The money is to aid in fees/etc until your pony pair starts getting somewhere for you!

Two more days! If we can fill to 10 I'll double the prizes! It all is coming out of my personal funds, not the clubs! Go go go go go, we're half way to 10. 

A question for everyone though... How do you guys feel about maybe me keeping the left over pairs that didn't get a trainer, doing the training/showing for the time of the contest, then we hold an auction and auction them off to benefit the club? And if you don't want to keep your pair you can add yours to the auction. HOWEVER, whatever they sell for goes into the club till for us to use later for more contests/etc. Kinda like in real life how they use the roundup to generate funds for the fire company and upkeep of the herds. If you want to keep yours or privately sell, that's fine too. Just giving the choice!

I very much would love to get the club extremely active, tons of ponies registered, bi-weekly giveaways, contests, etc. But unfortunately I can't do it all out of my own pocket long, and I do not expect anyone to just give donations!


Also, the ponies are coming along nicely! I went ahead and gene tested them all as well for everyone. :)
