Gimme more Netflix shows to binge

#224757 Posted on 2020-06-29 17:05:21

So I’m in need of some more Netflix shows to binge. I love medical shows, drama, romance and anything. But like anything involving ghosts. Yeah nope, Daph doesn’t do ghosts. Anyways I just finished binging all of last night and today a workout competition and oh my gosh it played with my emotions. Both of my favorite teams were eliminated from the competition. So now I just finished it and I’m in need of some more. Please comment down below a little background on the series.

This is what I have watched recently on Netflix (and some I have watched through multiple times)!

TV shows

  • Virgin River (drama medical)

  • Hart of Dixie (drama medical-ish romance)

  • Dead to Me (drama)

  • Nothern Rescue (drama)

  • Greys Anatomy (drama romance medical)

  • Dexter (drama medical)

  • Sweet Magnolias (drama)

  • Criminal Minds (drama criminals)

  • The Night Shift (medical drama)

  • NCIS (drama criminal)

  • Person of Interest (drama criminal)

  • Orange Is the New Black (drama criminal)

  • Strong (this is a fitness competition - this may be the one you referenced but I loved it)

And two honorable mentions (movies)

  • Hush (CREEPY....but good. The main girl is deaf in the middle of the woods... take a guess haha)

  • Burlesque (with Christina Aguilera) (drama romance)

The Witcher, fantasy, Geralt is a monster slayer for higher in pursuit of saving his child surprise, Ciri and Yennefer, a sorceress he is sort of bound to. It isn't gory but it is an adult show. The timeline is a bit odd, but the show is based on an incredible series of novels that are very detailed so season 1 is trying to set the stage for more seasons to come.

Dead to Me, dark comedy, woman moves in with the widow of husband who was hit and run by the woman who moved in, delves into the greyness that is reality as not everything is black and white or what it seems... with a humor overlay, very entertaining!

Marco Polo, historical fiction, Marco Polo comes to live with the Khan, leader of Mongolia, his quick wits make him a fast favorite with a Khan, the characters are interesting and unique, the story is more than just war and conquering, lots of horses, LOVE this show, so bummed it was canceled after season 2.    :(

Hubby and I are watching a new series, The Old Kingdom, or something. It is interesting but not as good as the shows mentioned above.

Heartland... not technically any of the types of shows you like to watch, other than drama maybe. But- I love it. It’s about horses and the main character growing to love them again after her mother dies because the daughter wanted to go save a horse she thought was abused. The characters all grow so well and I love it!

Did someone say TV Shows?! Listen real close, kay?

MERLIN!

That is all.

But for reals I have no clue what's on Netflix these days since my sister picks the things I end up watching and has Prime, Hulu and Netflix because she's nice and shares. I love the scifi though so oldies like Fringe, Dollhouse and Firefly. My first serially watched shows back in the day were House and Bones so there's a soft spot for the crime and medicals. Rizzoli and Isles I just saw again as reruns on regular TV if that's on there it was a good one.
OHhhhh and Mysteries of Laura if it's still there. Debra Messing is awesome, and I was so bummed it was only 2 seasons.

Also I am realizing this topic is a few months old now, but it's NEVER too late to start watching Merlin for the first time, or you know again ;]
