Ulysses, I wrote a phenotype calculator in Java. I'm not sure how well it would work in JS but in Java it runs super smoothly even with over 1k possible foal genotypes. I was actually shocked that it spit out like 100 phenotypes instantly lol. If you want to talk code, PM me :)

Phenotypes are now listed alongside the genotypes. I know I said this was impossible, but I've done it! Not only that, I've managed it in a relatively simple manner that doesn't significantly increase computation time or require ridiculous amounts of code. The only downside is the program has lost a bit of versatility with this, which means it's not going to handle typos well, and will have to be modified if new genes like pearl get introduced, but these are relatively minor issues.

Thanks to everyone who offered me advice in the coding. I'm pretty sure I would have continued to believe it was impossibly complex otherwise. ♥

I may have introduced a few errors with this update, though. I've tested it as much as I can, but there are literally thousands of different genotype possibilities, so I may have missed something. So if you see a genotype that doesn't match the listed colour and pattern please let me know. Just paste the genotype and phenotype here, along with what you think it should be, and I'll look into it.

Also, the Foal Stat Calculator is finally here!

Added the ability to sort the results by phenotype or genotype or probability.

I can enter the Sires and Dams Genotype but it will not let me calculate it.

Could you paste the genotypes you're using here for me? I'll see if I can figure out what the issue is. Sometimes typos will prevent things from being read in properly, which will prevent it from performing a calculation, but if it's an issue with my code I need to know what exactly it's having a problem with as well.

Ok, I've figured out the issue. There is a bug in one of your horses which means it's missing the flaxen gene. You'll have to manually add it in when you're entering the genotype into the calculator. I'll work on revamping the gene-reading part of the code so it can give sensible error messages when issues like this occur.

Added some error testing functionality, so it'll tell you what's wrong and how to fix it if you use a buggy horse that doesn't have enough genes. It'll also pick up some typos and similar.

Apparently issues in agouti, and too many genes for the sire? But this is a direct copy/paste from the horses page... Also issues with the KiT area.

^ I'm sorry, but I can't reproduce this issue. If I copy and paste those genes and calculate it everything comes up fine with no error messages, and the foal genes all look sensible. If you're still having the issue could you let me know?
