Critique and Advice?

So I do a lot of drawing by hand on paper, and drew this headshot the other day. I was rather pleased with it, so redid it on my art program for better lines, now I'm looking for any tips or tricks anyone has to improve it! I use Krita for my art program, but still don't really know my way around shading and layers, so any advice on that is welcome as well!

That’s pretty good! If you understand layers, make sure your colour layer is below the lineart and your shading layer is above the colour. I do suggest a little edit on the forelock, if you make it a little less flat to the forehead. And perhaps make the ears a little bigger. But other than that it looks great!

@Siren, thank you, now that you mention it the ears do look pretty small for the head, lol! I'll play around with the forelock and ears a bit, see if I can get it looking better!

I did some revising on the ears and forelock, does that look better, @Siren? I think it looks a bit better now, but can't quite tell, lol.
